You never have anything to apologise for my friend. You're giving out extremely valuable information for free while trying to make a living.... some of us can only dream of being that good!
EXCELENTE! A couple points made on here! 1. Wiring diagrams, never trust them 100% including OE... but in this case was OK. 2. Circuit checking or testing with a LOAD, is the only way to have accurate results. Of course, using the appropriate load if not using the on vehicle component the circuit is powering. (Or that vehicle component is faulty/failed)
As always, great diag. We have “M” for service information and I like the color diagrams... perfect example of how and why it can get you in trouble. (Of course have run into trouble, wrong color coding etc..)Thanks for sharing.
😂 you’re like me. I’ll leave protective plastic on things forever. My maxisys mini still has the plastic on the screen from when I bought it about three years ago. Btw if you just click whatever switch you have latched on the snap on just once and it’ll turn off. It takes a second so if you push it again too fast then it won’t turn off.
Great video Keith, did you happen to see rocky boaboa under that bridge? I think his wife works at one of the meat stores under the bridge 😂 thanks for sharing my friend... jay
when can I go and help you record your videos? while I learn something from you at the same time. amazing diagnostic thanks Keith, one more to the books.
How its possible for the light at the CLUSTER to be dim for a bad ground at the engine computer? This is why you fixem that fast 😁 you know those particular tiny things
That's awesome Keith. Thanx for the tip on Toyota abbreviations. It's so much wording between manufacturers that drives me nuts. Like toyota with their fuel pump relay called circuit opening relay. Thanx Maestro 😁. Do u think that ground issue could have occurred when they did the tune up? Wires look fairly new. I think that happened to me once back in the day😉. Take care
Fantastic information about Toyota wiring diagrams vs non Toyota diagrams. Did you have a good idea of which ground going to the ECM was at fault and how did you come to that theory if so. or did you do what i would have ended up doing and load testing all the powers and grounds (that SO multi probe can load test circuits its handy but not very trust worthy).
Had that with my Lincoln mix, first mechanic put it on the computer and said the dashboard is bad and have to order a new one, after he told me the price $$$$- I declined and took it to someone else who diagnosed it as a ground issue and ordered the part from Ford ($60) replaced it and went over the computer and cleared the old codes and drove it around and it's been 5 years and no more issues (just waiting for the ticking time bomb- water pump to go,OUCHHHHH)
WELL ONE VIDEO ONCE EVERY WHENEVER..., I GUESS IT'S BETTER THEN NOTHING FOR THESE POOR WRETCHED SOULS . IT MUST BE TRUE THE GOOD OLD DAYS HAVE BEEN LOCKED AWAY !
That tool has a value, and that value is BEEEEEEEP! Holy crap, I feel like I need to shoot it and put it out of my misery... LOL Super-awesome diag! Very different approach than I would have taken; learned a lot from watching it! :D
i mostly end up using the SO multi prope for current draw tests. Its pretty damn accurate with low amperage measurements. Otherwise i find it too cumbersome.
i absolutely hate the term earth or earthing used on an automobile. it is imbecilic!!! the car is sitting on rubber tires (a damn good insulator) there is no way it can be an earth. common yes earth no!!!! rant over

you are an amazing troubleshooter learning so much from watching your videos

Ground issues make the best videos! Thanks Keith, really enjoyed this one! 👍
your amazing tech and holding the camera and grounding in the same time.thanks
I look forward to your videos more than anyone else’s! Always learn a ton. Thank you sir!
I also like oe diagrams because they have connectors which is where most problems are found . Your the man thanks for the vid
Very nice. My 2000 sienna is still going strong at 250k miles. If this happens i know exactly who to thank for the easy to find repair ☺
Allright 15min, I think this is the longest video Kieth has made.👍
I noticed the same thing. This could have been (7) 2:13 min videos.
As always, great diag. We have “M” for service information and I like the color diagrams... perfect example of how and why it can get you in trouble. (Of course have run into trouble, wrong color coding etc..)Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Keith. Good job. I appreciate your videos. Have a blessed and safe week.
Well done buddy👏 Well spent 15 mins of my life watching your video.
Your brain never ceases to amaze me.
Great tip on the dim CEL! 👍
Great tip! I have yet to see that problem here, but now I'll know where to start if I do. 👍👍
Nice diagnosis Keith.
You always blow me away thanks for sharing
Hey Keith, great diag! Similar to Danners issue on that echo years ago!
Ahhh. The proper way to use a power probe! If you hit the speaker button it will turn that annoying beep off.
The power of knowledge, thx for sharing.
Amazing how fast you figure these out.
I really believe we just look past some of the easier nuances
I really believe we just look past some of the easier nuances
That dim check engine light bulb was talking to me . Those fans whirring away were talking to me
👍 👍
Appreciate your efforts Keith......if only you had a third 🖐🏻
Excellent work!
Back on intake. Is where my ground issue was.
Seeen this before. Techs will do valve cover gaskets and put the ground wires on and forget to tighten the 10mm bolt.
For NY pizza and knowledge, I'll be your camera guy! haha! After seeing this video though, I'm not sure if I still want that snap on "probe"
Good job Keith.

Great stuff dude. Thanks!!
Thanks for the video.
great info found it thumbs up and shared
Thanks Drew!
Ground is on the I tack manifold
nicely done💪🏻💪🏻
Checking a ground is not valid unless the circuit it's loaded? Great informational video Keith.
How its possible for the light at the CLUSTER to be dim for a bad ground at the engine computer?

I think the same! I would never consider a bad ground for intermittent no start condition! I learned a lot!

Never seen that before on a toyota
Thank you
Awsome tip
Ground Control to Major.... 👍
Did you just get that snappy test power probe? I been eyeing it on the tool truck ,how you like it?
Once again an excellent video Maestro!
very nice video

SWEET VID 🚹👍 👍

Real good info👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Do you like power probe better than the Snap On thing ? Or neater one really ?
The third choice . The power probe Hook is my favorite
Nice !
Build a bridge and lose 📶 go figure. .love your videos 😃😃😃😃
What's the name of and where can I get the tool that you set in place of a fuse. I have to have one
That tool has a value, and that value is BEEEEEEEP! Holy crap, I feel like I need to shoot it and put it out of my misery... LOL

👍👍
Good info Keith. Is that the Goethals or Outerbridge crossing or neither?👍
That's the Bayonne Bridge, with new raised road deck. Richmond Terrace passes underneath.
And it's a marvel of engineering
Makes me a little homesick lol. I grew up on Morningstar.
DAT SPEEDO
Also Keith I'm unsubscribing if you use that beeping PowerProbe one more time haha
😂🤣
😂👍, yeah I know I know .
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts, and for the effort that you put in your vedios 👏👏
No load pro?? Get em ivan.
😂👍

Toyota has always been labeled this way. Nothing to get upset over LOL
Good point
First
That vehicle gets the ugliest speedometer ever award.
👍👍👍
