Eh no really, IMC isn't really into mad science it's basically the trope of the evil colonial industrialists. There was a teeny bit of that in TF2 with the fold weapon, but that was more something they stumbled upon then built and it wasn't even really THAT mad science given it was ultimately basically just a superweapon they were gonna use to death star a planet to try and put down a colonial rebellion. They also basically were the state in the frontier before the uprising while Rhine Lab is not even close to being in control of Colombia. Like the moment the Colombian military shows up in the event the reaction of pretty much everyone is "oh shit, we done fucked up now."
Like corporations have unhealthy power in Columbia clearly, but they are NOT running the place like in Kazimierz for instance. Though the actual IMC in Arknights is certainly Rim Billiton , fuck sake the 'country' is named after the corporation and what little blurb we do get talks about them treating their citizen as cattle to used up in originum mining that sickens large portions of them with oripathy. There is like a 99% chance they are gonna end up as basically evil colonial overlords when we finally see more of them and I give it like a 50% chance an event set there is likely to involve an insurgency trying to boot them out and claim control for the local citizenry.
Fun fact: Gareth Coker, the person behind soundtracks for e.g the Ori games, Halo Infinite and Minecraft composed and produced these songs!

Overall, this event gave players a ton of new Rhine Labs lore and some cool foreshadowing of the continuation of the event, all the sounds and music really reflected the way I imagined Rhine Labs to operate. Looking forwards to the next Rhine Labs event!

Definitely a really fitting atmosphere for Rhine Lab set by the various tracks featured here. As with most of the events, I'll be looking forward to it's eventual release on Global.
