I listened to like 10 versions of Dalla Sua Pace and Il mio tesoro on youtube. No one sings with a real full voice like Jerry Hadley. Truly amazing

Give a listen to Canadian tenor Leopold Simoneau. He sings this aria with great tenderness. ruclips.net/video/UuPgWtLbk-0/видео.html

After listening to anyone else sing this, I always have to cleanse my palate with some Jerry Hadley or Fritz Wunderlich and the world is again as it should be!

This is the version I love listening to. Jerry Hadley's velvety quality and sincere meaning makes it so sweet and unforgettable, just as it should be sung.

This brings me to tears, to know that this artist was so very unhappy that he did away with himself. I loved his singing so much. His Werther at NYCO left me breathless and made me a fan for all my life.

I re-visit this performance every time I want to hear Della Sua Pace done the right way. The sound at the beginning as his voice echos off the back of the stage and floats outward is unmatched. Che bello voce! Rest in peace, Jerry.

    I am Andrey Bestchastny.
I sang about 700 "Don Giovanni" in the main part and about 100 in the Leporello part. In Six Different Directories ...
    I ... Better than Don Ottavio - I DIDN'T HEAR OR SEE !!!
I would give - everything to sing with this Maestro, at least ONE PERFORMANCE ...

@Barone Vitellio Scarpia many fans in deed, I do not know too much. But it sounds he cut not as clean as others. Maybe his style, but I love his high notes, pretty elegant. Thank You.

This should be portrayed, as Hadley did well, in a contemplative state. Had you any practice of it, not only would you apprehend and understand it, at least it would seize some fraction of your maleficence in backbiting and vanity of showing said maleficence as if it were virtue.

La voz no expresa ? Eso es actuar y lo demás sobre actuar ... la voz es la que debe portar el sentimiento y el canto debe ser relajado aún cantando Pagliacci

I'm curious...first, what is your background? Are you an opera singer? Second, exactly what did you expect him to do for his acting to meet your standards? Opera singers do not throw themselves around the stage. They can't or the tone will suffer.

She's a no-talent malcontent. Listen to her dreadful singing on her RUclips channel but make sure you have a barf bag within reach.
