Any idea on how to do on the facelift model? Mk6 golf you have to take the whole bumper off and im hoping its not that involved for thr golf plus facelift model...
Hi, good video. I have a problem with mine, the long fascade you took off to unscrew the light, mine doesn't have these, it only has two small areas for the sensors. can you advise please?
It's actually super simple. First, he removes the thingy under headlight (I don't know what it's called) because there will be a screw under the headlight that we will need to access later. Then the front where logo is on (also because there is a screw, we need under it). Then he takes out all screws that keep the headlight on its place. For this model there is one on top, one on the side and another one under it (that's why he used the light to check it. It's quite far away and you definitely will need a long magnetic screwdriver to get it). Then he takes headlight out (not fully because wires are still attached together). I would actually do it other way around - unplug it and then take headlight out, but it's because I have relatively slim hands. Definitely use his method if your hands aren't on the slim side. The thing he uses at 2:03 makes it easier to unplug the wires but I went without it. Also, screwdriver is used so you don't pull by the wires which might damage them. First time I did it, I watched, paused and repeated his steps one by one, not trying to memorize everything from start to finish so I understand it might be confusing if you try to understand it right away. I got to understand after I got my first hands-on experience.
Many thanks. The most helpful video i found about it. I am a woman and change it in one hour.
Danke fuer die schoene Info.
