    This was helpful. I don't usually need to make local adjustments, but seeing the whole order of operations is really interesting. I don't think I've had much consistency to my workflow after the retouching layers, but using liquify last always made sense to me. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to save and implement this layer order going forward. I used to have a file setup workflow action, but it probably need updating. This will help!

    I've been doing this for over 20 years and that's exactly the way I describe them.
    Years ago, I would do liquefy first and check for any artifacts as I went. Now I
    stamp visible and save mesh, or smart object, learned the hard way, but won't forget.

      Glad to hear it sounds like we're doing things the same way! Hopefully I'm still doing this in 20 years as well!
