    To think that before 1600 Mauritius was entirely just like that covered with pristine forests. The Dodo was the predominant animal just as it's cousins that also got extinct. It's amazing how humans can annihilate local habitats irrespective of size. Today, this biogeographic zone constitutes barely 3-5% of the total surface area of the island. Walking across it, you'll come across trees producing spices like clover, canella, pepper, endemic coffee plants, valuable timber like Ebony, Tambalacoque, Ravenala, Talipot trees and as you mentioned endemic birds like Mauritius kestrels, Pink pigeons and Echo parakeets

      Yes this is sucks people had killed entire population of wonderful Dodo 🦤, Here on island animals and birds were living in harmony and peace before human sat they feet on Mauritius land and began to kill tortoise, Dodos 🦤
