I actually just raced today, and technically it started after this was uploaded so that was my next race! It was a half marathon and I managed to finish 1st place in my age group 20-29 with a new pr of 1:32:52.3 Needless to say i'm very happy with the result and now looking forward to my debut marathon in November.
Evoride 1 was great for faster pace ( ran my 5k PR with them) but for some reasons they exacerbated my knee issue that ive been battling with. Unfortunately had to retire the shoe early. Was definitely on the firm side but pleasantly snapy. next race: blackfoot 50k. Happy Sunday DGR!
Really excited about this shoe! Thanks for confirming this Seth! I will actually buy this one instead of the Mach 4 😅 My next race is a tune-up trail half-marathon with 4000ft of elevation followed by a 50k with 11000ft in the week after. Am I crazy? yes I am.
Just had my race cancelled, was a trail Marathon on 17th April - Still going to run one but now with DGR Virtual. Have just booked another Race for 22 May before my Ultra in July as a warm up race.
QD: The non-cancelled marathon in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Also this is great to hear! The evoride was like my favorite shoe of 2020, I ended up buying a second pair I enjoyed the ride so much.
Next race Five Peaks Ontario #1 Trail Half Marathon at Kelso Conservation Area. Hopefully in person! And yes, I find it takes twice as long to get ready for these cold mornings still here in Ontario (-8°C this morning!). I have to allow about half an hour to get up, get dressed in all my layers and outdoor gear and do some quick dynamic warmups. 15 minutes does it in the summer.
I've just picked up a pair of these on sale here in New Zealand (about $65USD); they're going to replace the Hoka Rincon 3 in my rotation. Looking forward to trying them out!
I’m using the Evoride 1 for tempo intervals, it’s light and helps you accelerate quickly. It’s a bit stiffer than the Novablast which I use for the long runs. Really like the combination of these shoes in my weekly training. So, great to see the Evoride 2 evolution.
Interesting...this shoe is going on my list of potential next pair (I can only afford to have 1 pair of road shoes)...I just wish the durability prediction was a little bit better...but it still looks like something my feet would love QD: Wings for life world run...technically not a race for me, its a charity run, and I signed up to support spinal cord injury reasearch...wrapping up week 1 of training today...for those who dont know, entire profit from the race goes to spinal cord injury reasearch, and its an app based event, where runners from the whole world start running at the same time, on the same day (9th may), and they finish when the catcher car passes them...it can be run individually, in an organized app run or in a flagship race
You read my mind. I'm in new York and this morning was 16 degrees and by no means the coldest it gets but this is the time of year where my brain says enough! As I'm layering up to go outside at 6am, I'm thinking of how I cannot wait to just throw on a pair of shorts, socks, shoes, and out the door! But it's all relative, because soon enough I'll be complaining about the humidity. So it's a never ending cycle. Lol
This shoe is an absolute bargain taking into account Asics excellent build quality. My next race is the great east run half marathon uk in September. Im coming out of retirement first race in over thirty years.
Seth, loving all these reviews at the moment, def helping out but also on the other hand killing your viewers bank balances! One Q, last year your Endorphin Speed review score was 7.8 yet that became shoe of the year! 7.8 seems a decent score but nothing more. Can you explain quickly on a video?! Thanks.
Hey Seth, love your work man. I’m just wondering if you’re planning to do an updated shoe matrix video anytime soon? Always get a lot of inspiration from them. Keep up the good work!
Oh yes love when it’s just shorts and a tshirt. not sure yet. Waiting till I’m 100 percent recovered from my knee bursitis. 2 years injury free but have had struggles the last 2 months. That’s how it goes sometimes
Noticed the comparison to the NB Rebel. I had the Evoride 1 and Rebel 1 and there was a lot of overlap in when I wanted to use them. I could just bought one or the other
This seems like something I might choose at some point for a long run shoe because right now I'm training in exclusively kinvara 11's and I want something with a little more rock and roll to it for my long runs to save my legs slightly
I received the EvoRide 1 about two weeks ago and love the rocker. QD: A twicely postponed 100K ultra trail (only 2000m vertical gain) in late April. Trying to conserve the high volume put in during the winter months. Salzburg Marathon in mid May already postponed until 2022. GREETINGS FROM SALZBURG/AUSTRIA!!! If the price point is so good, why only a 8.5???
Yes, I still have the Evoride 1: loved them up to 300km then started getting a sore upper archilles on my right foot when jogging at easy pace over 6mins/km but when I picked up the pace to 5:30/km the pain went away! Lost a little bit of bounce over the time but hey, what shoe doesn't after 300k?
:qod: whenever the first outdoor track race is for my high school. I got a stress fracture in my fibula early January, so I missed all the indoor races. Hopefully I’m healthy by the time outdoor races start!
Anyone looking at getting these with some of the bargains going around, go half a size bigger than you usually would. Size 11 are too small for me but: Kayano 28 Gel Contend 7 Cumulus 23 Gel Excite 8 all fit me comfortably in an 11
QD: next race would be a 10 k in mid may organized by the PAT or Port authority of Thailand. Course runs through the actual port of Bangkok past ankered ships and cranes.
Would have like to known if it was worth upgrading from the first version of this shoe. Seems like the changes ASICS made were negligible with the exception of the outsole.
QD: No races on deck just yet as I’m just slowly getting back into running after a couple injuries. Maybe a 5k-10k this summer, but I have my eye on the Old Forge Half on my BDay weekend of September 11 and the Boilermaker 15k in October 🤘🏻
QD: Next race is a local race. Run for Luck 5K in person, which is awesome! Its a shorter distance than im used to, but my first time at an in person event. I've been running in the EvoRide 1's as a daily trainer recently, and you hit it on the head. Even the first version is an excellent Fartlek shoe. I'm able to transition in speeds effortlessly. I suppose my big question is this: The old EvoRide 1's used FlyteFoam Propel, and the EvoRide 2 uses regular FlyteFoam. As much as I love the old one, it is a little firm over the longer distances. Is this version a little more friendly for longer runs? MAGA (Make Asics Great Again) movement keeps on getting better.
QD: I was training for the Bend Marathon on April 18, but just this week it was announced that it was forced virtual. I still plan on running the marathon (this would be my first one!), but not as excited that it won’t be an in-person race
Hi Seth.. Zahin here from Malaysia.. Evoride1 is awesome.. my number 1 of choice for a faster run. while still give an excellence experience in slower run. 200+ km on the mileage but the outsole still showing no wear and tear. i saw you are wearing Coros Apex Pro there.. wanna a give a review on that watch?
Hi seth I am thinking about getting this shoe in the future, but I hade knee problems in the novablast. I am currently running in the nb prism, and the brooks glycerin 18. I overpronate somewhat, so I would like to know your opinion.
QD: No races scheduled with a little 7 week old nugget in the house. I will be doing a 5K Time Trial here shortly before I start on a 6-ish week 5K specific training block to break through that PR.
🙋♂️💪🏃♂️SETH I have an idea that I think would really help a lot with shoe reviews. We have been hearing the words, soft, snappy, bouncy, etc a lot lately. I think it would be super helpful if when you say a word like soft, you throw up a number line with like 5 other shoes on the screen going from soft to firm, and then drop the shoe you are reviewing onto the number line were it would fall in regards to the other shoes. I realize this would be a lot more editing so if it's to much work for vlogs, I think it would be an excellent addition to the website. Let me know what you think.
Any major difference compared with Noosa 13 on the comfort? Midsole is the same as far as I know...i am signed up for Swimming Masters Europeans but chance is 0.01%...
Half the reason I don’t run outside in the winter is the prep time required both before and after (coming home with disgustingly wet and dirty Everything). The other half, of course, is it’s COLD 😂
The Asics I tried had ridiculously huge toe boxes, not sure which I love but high which I find horrendously uncomfortable. Is it the case with this shoe?
QD: I was hoping to still be able to do a cross country race at the end of the winter season... but the Belgian Championships was the first race but limited acces with some illogical criteria and all the other races are cancelled... so for now... I’m just waiting... :( the only goal for now is Belgian Championships 10k on the road in october :(
QD: It was today! Ran a 9min PB in the half marathon and unexpectedly got in under 90mins! Chuffed.
Nice job man
I discovered this channel a week ago and I'm hooked I'm glad to be a part of the community
Enjoy!
In the tropics we crave for cooler weather so I do most of my running on the trails on high altitude or 2 to 3 hours before sunrise. Lol.
QD: March 28th, Spring Thaw 10 mile in Mentor, OH. Shooting for the W there on a rolling, winding and scenic course by Lake Erie. Goal is 49:30-51:00
This has become one of my favorite parts of my morning routine
Absolutely less effort getting out of the door running in warmer weather can't wait!
QD: Tucson Shamrock Half Marathon on Saturday! First time racing this distance and can't wait to see what happens.
I'm doing the shamrock half too! See you there!
I actually just raced today, and technically it started after this was uploaded so that was my next race! Seth, Hoka Mach 4 arrived this week. 20 miler in them today. Great shoe! Thanks for the recommendation!
QD: Glass City Marathon! See you in Toledo Seth!!!
Imagine Seth moves and leaves the Shoedio there. The new buyer would be SO confused.
QD: The non-cancelled marathon in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Also this is great to hear! The evoride was like my favorite shoe of 2020, I ended up buying a second pair I enjoyed the ride so much.

I had to come back to this review after spotting a pair in my size for equivalent of 50US$. Gonna buy it right away!

My next race is the Hall Of Fame Half marathon in Canton, Oh May 2nd. Haven't done a race since November 2019. This will be exciting!

Grand blue mile virtual! And hoping for in person trail racing this summer.
QD: Eugene virtual half marathon! What lured me in was the finishers medal. Hand crafted salvaged wood from the old Hayward Field stadium!
Thanks for the review seth!
ASICS casually rolling out a very similar shoe as the Speeds but with lower / more stable sole. Great job....
Vale of York 10 mile in April should be an announcement this week if it's going ahead .
I'm really looking forward to a review on the new balance rebel v2. I've heard good things so far.
This shoe is an absolute bargain taking into account Asics excellent build quality. My next race is the great east run half marathon uk in September. Im coming out of retirement first race in over thirty years.
My next race day was today with a vritual race : a 24k on Trail ! with a time of 1h32'07 i did my half marathon PB 1h20'03 (before 1h21'37 on road)
QOD my next race is April the 10th half Marathon through the Waitarere forest, can’t wait 😊👍

QD: 25km "Trails 4 Germany" Event on 02. May 🙏
Oh yes love when it’s just shorts and a tshirt.
not sure yet. Waiting till I’m 100 percent recovered from my knee bursitis. 2 years injury free but have had struggles the last 2 months. That’s how it goes sometimes
I love the Evoride 2020 a lot. I almost bought a second pair but then the two came out.
In my vew Asics is best with regard to Quality vs. Price. Love it!
Noticed the comparison to the NB Rebel. I had the Evoride 1 and Rebel 1 and there was a lot of overlap in when I wanted to use them. I could just bought one or the other
HM April 11, Auckland Waterfront NZ. Shame I miss the vertual by a week.
QD my next race is a 20 mile trail race in July looking forward to it and I get to buy some new trail shoes aswell 😀

QD: Shoes, shorts and shirt. SOOOOOOO much easier. about a third of the gear needed for fair weather running, in my experience.
MARCH 20TH! It's our conference meet. I got big plans!
:qod: whenever the first outdoor track race is for my high school. I got a stress fracture in my fibula early January, so I missed all the indoor races. Hopefully I’m healthy by the time outdoor races start!
Seth, are u going to be reviewing the Rebel v2? I've heard great things and am really excited to see a review on them.
fifty bucks on Amazon now, depending on color. Many actually at that price.
My next and FIRST race is the run through time half marathon in Salida!
Anyone looking at getting these with some of the bargains going around, go half a size bigger than you usually would. Size 11 are too small for me but:
Kayano 28
Gel Contend 7
Cumulus 23
Gel Excite 8
all fit me comfortably in an 11
I just bought a pair for about USD80 from the Asics Malaysia online store (half a world away).
Good morning, DGR!
QD: next race would be a 10 k in mid may organized by the PAT or Port authority of Thailand. Course runs through the actual port of Bangkok past ankered ships and cranes.
: Ultravasan 90k, its in august so hopefully i will run some kind of race before that
The Evoride is my Goldilocks shoe. Love it!!
@seth... your thoughts (in a vlog?) about barefoot running... and the vibram five finger shoes...
Citrus 5k coming up in 2 weeks! This one will be more of a fun run with coworkers, next serious race is a 10k in April.
I will buy this right away..😊😊 i got nova and metaracer... You are really a Shoe Doctor 😁😁

As I've always said, the midsole is shoe business whereas the upper is show business.
QD: 38 fun run at night in June....on waiting list. Fingers cross
My next race is a 10 k in Poznań in a week. Hoping for a new PB under 34:30
My next race is the half marathon on March 28th.

QD: Zafiro Palma half marathon in Mallorca (Spain) in October.
Hi seth I am thinking about getting this shoe in the future, but I hade knee problems in the novablast. I am currently running in the nb prism, and the brooks glycerin 18. I overpronate somewhat, so I would like to know your opinion.
Im going to do my first Trail 100k on June the 20th! Any advice by chance
QD: No real races that I know of until the 4th of July (a road mile race), but multiple track time trials between now and then, from 100m to 1600m
Space Coast half in Cocoa Beach, Fl. Nov 28th
QoD: No races happening here in Malta. My next ‘race’ is a 10 K time trial in 3 weeks time. Doing it with my running buddies hopefully.
QD: My next race is whenever my first track meet is.
QD: No races scheduled with a little 7 week old nugget in the house. I will be doing a 5K Time Trial here shortly before I start on a 6-ish week 5K specific training block to break through that PR.
Can we get a rebel v2 Vs Hoka Mach 4 video ? 👀

QD: Hopefully a HS track meet, I am also interested in doing a downhill 50k with 4000’ of elevation loss
Summer in Arizona all the time
Any idea on when Novablast 2 is coming out or going to be unveiled?
QD: Tulsa Marathon (26.2) on 4/17 and Dallas Marathon (50k) on 5/2. Fingers crossed these happen
Hey Seth, just wondering how these feel next to the upcoming Magic Speed =)
What’s a good road running shoe that can also double as a trail running shoe? I was looking at this one but wasn’t sure
Seth recently I bought a pair of the evoride2's and I wanna ask if do they require break in period??
Any major difference compared with Noosa 13 on the comfort? Midsole is the same as far as I know...i am signed up for Swimming Masters Europeans but chance is 0.01%...
QD: Goodwood marathon in April, breaking 3 is the goal :D
Reebok Floatride Energy 3. Best under 100€ everyday trainer. You should check it
no next races yet over here
Half the reason I don’t run outside in the winter is the prep time required both before and after (coming home with disgustingly wet and dirty Everything). The other half, of course, is it’s COLD 😂
What is it for shoe , the green one near the shoedio neon in the background? Thx
The Asics I tried had ridiculously huge toe boxes, not sure which I love but high which I find horrendously uncomfortable. Is it the case with this shoe?
For long distance training day which model would you go in Asics?
As a guy Dona buy only 1 pair I’m confused between evoride and cumulus. Any suggestions?
