Noise Ash is a quality company. the Neve & Pultec plugins have completely changed my attitude towards mixing. i can achieve a great sound in literally a fraction of the time that it took when using Pro Q3 or stock plugins (that's no knock on Pro Q3 at all, i think its the best modern/digital EQ there is). just the workflow of quickly dialing in low/mid/high bands, with preamp saturation, its fantastic.
I have the NEED Collection and think it's awesome! I've been using more SSL lately, but after watching your video, I'm going to revisit the NEED...especially on kick drum 🙂👌
Love Noise Ash! I use the Need 84 strip all the time. The Palmary Collection has some interesting custom tailored FX plugins. I particularly like the Action Delay and FrozenVerb. I put those on a buss quite often.
Happy to see you doing some Noise Ash videos. I thought this was a really good video Dave! Could very easily here the improvements as you were quickly dialing it in. I know you have done a lot of Pultec comparisons but, I would really like the Noise Ash Rule Tec compared to the Universal Pultec.
I think most EQ plugins sound the same. As soon as I got an SSL UltraViolet EQ 500 series my mixes sound 100 times better with my stems going through a hardware EQ, even though it doesn’t have transformers in it.

Thanks for doing this! I've been using the 73 and a few others for a couple of years and they are really useful!
