It's the psychoDOLLogist premiere of Defa Lucy dolls! We go through seven different ones, give a review of each, their positives and negatives, any flaws they have, and most importantly if they’re worth it? Of course we also answer the important questions of where to get them the cheapest, what the hair, body, and clothes quality is like, and if they're worth getting for doll collectors!
Lucie unboxes 4 of the Defa Lucy dolls, and discusses them as well. We learn some surprising quality details once the dolls are out of box. Lucie of course also goes through ranking the dolls 1 to 7 in this batch of Defa Lucy dolls she got.

Yea the mesh fabric they chose I had bought on etsy before...it's straight up garbage fabric. It gets runs with the slightest stretching. Even happens when you sew it. So beware if you hem the over skirt

I have been buying &
transforming Defa Lucy dolls for years. Where I live in the Caribbean, Barbie is not very readily available. There is a local store that sold the Defa Lucy dolls & I saw the potential. These new ones are even more gorgeous but the store no longer carries these dolls 😢
That's awesome Matthew! I think that's a great idea. I wonder if you have access to Shein or Temu? Maybe even someone might be selling them on Vinted? In any case, you definitely have to work with what you have access to. @@sainttan Let's see how they do. It's not too often that a company that isn't in stores even draws the attention of the doll community for play line dolls. We'll just have to see what they come up with. But always more skin tones and face sculpts are welcomed. From my point of view though, they should focus on quality control first. We've ordered the same doll and she's come with different heads or completely different face paint... So that's interesting. 😁

For sure, definitely agree. The quality is a gamble. But not too different from the Barbie Fashionistas line, towards the end now often also have quality issues. In any case, thanks for watching as always Tina! 💖😊
Thanks a lot for the great review. I can see the fascination for these dolls but it washes all over my. The fashions are beautiful enough and if I had to pcik one it would be your #4 or 2. There is somethin odd about the body, though.
Aww thank you Michael, for sure there's a fascination right now, especially because they're new and accessible for most people. 😊 You see a lot less interest in the new and interesting dolls like Mizi that are going for $150. The bodies can be a bit discolored, and the feet can be a bit misshaped from being in box... Otherwise, I think a pretty common doll body. 😊💖 Thanks for watching!
I just subscribed to you. I learned about these Defa Lucy dolls lonly ast night from another reviewer. I purchased the blue and white haired doll, like your #1 pick. I will put a MTM body on her, as I think all fashion dolls should be on moveable bodies. Thank you for the great video here, and all your hard work. BTW, my youngest daughter is also a Lucie. She's a big Barbie collector as well, it's fun to talk dolls with her.

I have the one with the pink cup and she is gorgeous ❤. I am a fan of Defa's clothes and accessories for a long time. I bought some doll only to take their clothes 😂. I also bought one with a motorbike and one with a bathtub. But the dolls were meh for me. The new ones are cute.
For sure. There's a big difference with their new dolls. I think for most things their clothes were okay, although the quality even now can be iffy... But whatever a person can do to support their collection and their dolls, absolutely do it! 😁 Thanks for watching! 😊💖
@@psychoDOLLogist Well, old Defa in the winter jacket that has real zipper costs less or the same as plain Barbie Fashion Pack, so it is good deal :) The hat had the logo sewn upsidedown, but it is thing easy to manage ;)

It's a bit jarring how much you resemble the Defa Lucy dolls! So lovely! And I just have to say, I'd prefer getting a doll with a small forehead now and then compared to so many with massive foreheads.

I don't think I'll be getting these dolls. If I do it would be for a fashion pack. I have heard they are cheaper on Shein. I have seen them on Temu and they were $18.
