    Hello, I have a 6.5" factory screen installed in my BMW X1 F48. I replaced it with an 8.8" screen. I have a problem. When I connect it to the headunit, the screen is black, nothing happens. I need help.

      Yes, exactly the same process and coding with Bimmercode - easy :)
      I used...
      DISPLY_PIP_CONFIG:
      CID_DISPLAY_SIZE = 8.8
      CID_DISPLAY_RES = 1280x480
      DISPLAY_VARIANTE = breites_display

      Toreto BCN depends on what system you have, if you have ENTRYNAV with the 6.5inch screen and want the 8.8 and a system that supports Apple CarPlay, change both. If you just want your current system showing on a bigger screen, just change the screen and get the codes done

      Stayback84 I went to a specialist BMW coding branch to get it done as I didn’t have to coding kit to do it myself. Cost £25

      I just got mine for my 2016 m140i I brought mine for £250 with part number 9292248 . It is a part from 3 series but just about fits on my f21, I got the non touch screen one though, as I have NBT EVO head unit.

      @@J4Z666 haha been a while, screen still holding up well. What I mean is the back plate of the screen is from a 3 series so it has a different backplate. But no one notices at all. Hardly a big deal. Completely forgot that it has a different backplate till I saw this message lol

      No, works on same voltage.
      Couple of lines coded through Bimmercode and it's fine, although my Sat Nav needed an additional line added for it goto full screen.

      Nope, you can have a 8.8 screen on a HU_Entrynav2 module, which tends to come with the 6.5 screen, you just need to get it coded once installed and it'll work like a charm

      Yeah just unplug one screen, use the same cable to plug in the new one if you’ve gone for the genuine BMW 8.8 display and code, then you’re good to go
