I can’t believe you didn’t rate this 10/10 it’s by far his best track from the album. 7 verses each describing a sin. Then breaks it down at the end. Who else is doing that
If you listen again, and again, and again, you might raise it to 10 which is what it deserves. The opening is in Gaelic (Welch language) where Ren comes from. Interpretation: "Sickness are my teachers; my smile broke; my bones feel old; here lies the body of Ren." Seven Sins is actually Ren describing his life journey through illness and is surreally accurate. You should take time to appreciate that and reflect on how lucky you are to be in good health. Kia kaha.

First time viewer I almost always skip the talking in the start of videos. Y'all had me laughin though and appreciate this kinda honesty. 3:30 My favorite Ren song! Beat, flow, word-play, rhyme scheme, story telling, depth of meaning in the lines.... Chills! FIRE! I have heard it 60+times and STILL can not stop bobbing and weaving to the beat. Here ren is saying God was dead to him... "I watched him tie the knot and jump from my bed I bared witness". Ren then bowed to his new God (his disease) and begged for mercy... INCREDIBLE! "The bones where the devil rests" (Lymes disease attacked his bones)...
New tracks to react to... Wicked Ways, is perhaps the best Rap Rap track on the album. Loco is Beat Box and A cappella zero instruments etc all Rens mouth amazing, Sick Boi part 2 and Uninvited is Rens idea of a pop song, hella catchy.
7:42 likely a reference to His friend Joe, who I imagine Ren saw the grace of God within, who unfortunately jumped. Also many veiled references to a rope around one's neck in other songs like Money Game part 3 for example, and self destructive tendencies where regardless of what science tells us still we commit etc. We even see that choked feeling in Chalk outlines with the guillotine reference. Keep in mind in this song the sick boy says 7 are his sins, a self-made Armageddon, ... I do understand why this line merits a very large moment to pause and review.
I think Wicked Ways next, I wanna say… nah I’m not gonna say anything. But for me this, Genesis, Wicked Ways and Sick Boi are my personal favourites from the album. One love, one god. Everything else is interpretation. Never walked on the moon.
I love how corny you two can be, then you have these profound conversations.. bouncing ideas off of each other. I’d like to hear your conversations in twenty years about these things. ❤
Like many Ren songs, this is a song you have to listen to multiple times because he throws so much at you. This has become one of my favorite Ren songs (not sure it's caught Genesis yet).
U two are great and your intro and Convo was funny searching up SpongeBob to find 7 sins hahaha. GOLDDD. Did USA land on the moon? That was a great chat but no idea how u got to talking about that haha. My view...well why and how have we not managed to land on the moon in the last 50 years...and who took the photo of Armstrong stepping on the moon (means the photographer was first person on the moon...).... conspiracy theories to think about hahahaa. CIA deffo killed JFK and they not declassified the docs a year ago which may prove it... 7 seems an appropriate score from you both, you know what you like, and I think I would have scored it the same on a first listen. But it deffo gets better the more you listen to it I would give it a 9-9.5 now for the number of flow switches and how it all holds together so well with that many speed changes is deffo clever! Great reaction both of you. Try wickid ways next!!!
9:19 Sloth, the deadly sin sometimes also called Acedia, is like a kind of sadness at the very prospect of putting in any effort for goodness's true sake. It is associated with inactivity because this sadness is a rejection of any motivated ambition for the pursuit of goodness ... instead a person lives doing nothing much more than rest in a state of listless torpor. That person has not accepted any caring responsibility or actual concern with even their own position or condition in the world in any authentically good or positive way.
Yes, I agree with some of the other posters. This one didn't hit me on first listen but Now I think it is likely the best track on the Sick Boi album. Ren has said he may do a video for this one 🤞
Wicked Ways and Sick Boi 2 are fire 🔥, Uninvited is a different vibe from Ren, but the song is a banger and kinda funny with the innuendos,a definite hit
Hi guys! I always like your reactions and how you discuss things. I want to give you a new starting point in your discussion. Think back a few thousands of years even longer back in time were people lived simple life and they start to ask their leaders questions like "Where do we come from? Who created the earth? Who created the stars, moon and the sun? And so on. Now think you are the leaders who have no scientific knowledge or evidence of how we come to be. What would you say to simplify the answers or even make up answers to give your followers? Another scenario starts with (Abram) Abraham and (Sarai) Sarah who lived in Urim in Chaldea. Evidence points to that Urim had a strong female culture believing in the goddess Inanna and priestesses served the faith. One day Abraham takes his wife Sarah and they start to travel because a male god spoke to Abraham and told him to walk to Canaan. When Sarah got pregnant she was according to the Bible really old and that correlates to the priestesses in Urim because they got pregnant later in life. Sarah could have been a priestess. Abraham got two sons. One with the slave Hagar and one with Sarah. When the boys became adults it was a tradition for them to go to the place their parents was from to find themselves a wife. Abraham did not let his boys travel to Urim instead he let two women from Urim come to Canaan. Why did Abraham refused his sons to follow the tradition? Was he afraid something could happen to his sons? For example maybe he was afraid they would turn to believe in Inanna instead of Abraham's god? An answer may need thousands of questions to be asked first. 🤓🇸🇪
on this album wicked ways and loco are also good! but time to move to another part of ren! he was a band called the big push, check out the big push i shot the sheriff but make ure its the one that red is wearing 2 red bars! u will understand when u see it, hugs all around
I don’t think he means God literally jumped. I think it’s a metaphor for the state of his mind when in the depressed period in his bed, the tomb on his room.
Every persons idea of heaven is different, so many a heaven exists for every person, or maybe heaven is leaving your body and reuniting with the universe consciousness!! Or maybe we are living in a simulation!! Noone knows shit all.
You've already done a lot of the Sick Boi album but please do them all. More Ren is always the answer.
I can’t believe you didn’t rate this 10/10 it’s by far his best track from the album. 7 verses each describing a sin. Then breaks it down at the end. Who else is doing that
They didn't even catch it I bet xd
If you listen again, and again, and again, you might raise it to 10 which is what it deserves. The opening is in Gaelic (Welch language) where Ren comes from. Great reaction lads, you're right about the multiple listens part, the more I have listened to this the more I think it is one of his best.
Seven Sins Lyrics by Ren

Be d'or o'v'n w'en,
Mai v'n'esk'n teym l'on hen,
A'ma y'chor w'rk o'v'ren
_______________________
llness is my teacher
It broke my smile
My bones feel old
Here lies the body of Ren
______________________________In effect it's Rens obituary
I lay broken on the kitchen floor
I clawed at the laminate
Pain wandered my body
An uninvited guest
Bones of a home where the devil could rest
I cursed the gods, Cursed my messiah, Cursed my maker
I cursed all of creation
Where I lay, Feeble and thin, Sick boy, sick boy, Suffer my sin
Have you ever felt pain?
Stomach wrenching, Unrelenting
Tell me, Have you ever felt pain?
Condescending, Muscles clenching, Tell me, Have you ever felt pain?
A rose emerges from the pavement cracked
I’ll write my eulogy with broken glass
Eternal parallax
Pain
Pain the author, I accept this
Pain the teacher, Bruised apprentice
Pain resists, Pain will come
Pain the mother, I’m the son
Pain that splits you, And two when it hits you
The dark and the light all converge to one
Pain that twists you, The heavens dismiss you
The father, the ghost, And the holy son
Body bags, body bags, Body bagging me
Zip it up quick, If things don’t be
I search for peace In the belly of a beast
Sick boy, sick boy, Onomatopoeia
Running up a fever, Following a leader
Wanna be me, huh? Grasses and greener
Bright lights, Seizure, Dynamite dealer
Dine at the table Of the coroner, E-top fuck
Thirteen years, And I’ve been feeling so stark
Lucky number thirteen, Just my luck
Empires tumble, Rumble and dust
The universe shrinks, And the planets come bust
In God we trust, God tied a noose to his neck, And he walked to the edge, And he jumped
Angels wept, I bear witness, Watching the whole thing Unfold from my bed
A bed where I never deep rest
A bed where I’m always depressed
A bed with a human old crest
A bed for a tomb where I slept
A bed in the room That’s a womb for this mess
Sick boy, Bitten by a tick boy
Tell me how it feels To be buried while you breathe Stones and sticks, boy
Pain is a gift, boy
Hard to make you stand When you crawl on your knees And I kneel
I kneel at the altar Of my own disease, And I beg
I beg the sky for mercy mercy never came
I dip me dirty, 33 and hurting
Cursing Jesus died at 33, And stole my sins
A lurking gears returning
Future stays uncertain, Surgeon incision
Murder ambition, Fear of the unknown Preserves a religion
Dean asked the gods When my body went missing
Back then, The pain spray ricocheted Like a Mac-10
Hot lead hit the bed That was trapped in
Red wings seraphim Out of God’s grace
Cried tears from heaven Like Clapton
Stick pins in the voodoo, Hendrick
Stick skin stay humble, Kendrick
Stay scared, Protect the biometrics
Blood stained crime scene, Forensic
Lights on, Lights out Fade into the background
So down, So down Running from the silhouette Of self-doubt
Bye now, Bye now
Really should’ve figured This shit out
Lights on, Lights out (Smackdown)
Let it be, Let it be Quote John Lennon
Click-clack, John got shot for attention
What does that tell you About the good of intentions?
Bitterness formed In a storm of aggression
Prophets get dropped [?]
Six, six, Followed by six, seven, seven
Build them, praise them, Bury them dead
I was born to be half a man With half a chance
My heart is in half, Half righteous, Half is damned
Half a gram, Heart goes, Troubles end
Thoughts stay darker than Uruk-hai master plan
Sharper than Glass jars splinter and
Sinner man, sinner man Irony could kill a man
He makes money When the music lands, Expand Pay me my G’s, Rain down Parmesan
Followed by seven, Seven whole sins For a self-made Armageddon
Sin one, pride, pride makes a man kill a man forbid ego to survive
Sin two, Lost, Lost makes the grass look greener, Crucifies trust
Sin three, Gluttony, Humans consume and consume, Planet Earth gets a frontal lobotomy
Four, Sloth, Rinse and repeat, Reruns repeat, Time lost
Sin five, Envy, That’s when one man’s win Is another man’s frenzy
Sin six, Wrath, Rage, Vengeance, Killers, Psychopaths
Sin seven, Greed, Greed plants a seed That will destroy us all If we succumb to greed
Then take more than we need, then our oceans will bleed
Still, we feed and we feed and we sleep and repeat
Then we exile the shepherds and follow the sheep
We inherit the mean
We inherit this world that we bruised and we beat
We inherit this vanity, circles of greed
Inherit the liars, the murderous thieves
One sin for every one day of the week
This song opened with Ren's self written Eulegy in his "Mother Tongue", Welsh. He was born and raised until 19yrs old in Wales, UK

I remember your "Hi Ren" reaction, you really thought you were being punked - I could tell you were seconds from pulling the plug. Glad you didn't.
His track Wicked Ways on the album is a solid gold bar extravaganza, his flow and cadence is astounding on that one.
Absolute fire track! This, Wicked Ways, Sickboi 2 are incredible! U really didn’t get it! 🖤

You should’ve done the lyric video; and that was not yodeling ha ha
Masochist makes me giggle

We’ve been on the moon.

Eric Gill was an artist. Wow... nobody knows that!!
7.......a 7??????
Lol, you wanted a list of every sort of thing in existence to make the first chapter of Genesis.... it is not written as if that is to be expected
