Hi, I have a question. If the client is a child whose parents are divorce, Can BCBAs access custody records as part of the records to review? Are custody records part of the historical records?

I think the historical records are part of ABA's history.

Good question. It depends on 1) do you have the authority/consent to get access to those records and 2) are they relevant to your treatment planning? You should have a good reason for needing those records, and then you'll need permission to get those records. They could certainly be part of the historical records though. You should then only use those records as part of your treatment, and nothing else.
