    To those who think this is lame:
    Not everything we do in life is supposed to be meaningful but if you know Ruby she is one the most productive person I've ever seen. She doesn't do things just to get over with, she like to do them so she does them faster than others. Just like studying. So if your term of summer, vacation, relaxing time is not reading; just consider that she is not you. And she might like this.
    I love reading and the more time I take on a book, the more bored I get. So keep in mind that people have different routines and different speeds in reading.
    The last thing is, not every book is supposed to be informal. It's supposed to be a fun reading time.

      Exactly! If reading lots of books in a short period is how Ruby likes to spend her time, that’s totally up to her. It doesn’t hurt my life 🤷‍♀️ I like to read but I accept I could never read at the pace she does but I’m okay with that.

    Hello, Ruby. How do you normally process the things that you read from books? Do you write the essence down in a notebook? I love reading too. But I find that I need space and time between each book so that I can really absorb the nutrient each book provides. I like your videos a lot. They inspire me. Thank you. Best wishes from Ivy. :)

    • @akshara6148
      @akshara6148 6 лет назад +43

      Jing Huo for me it’s a different process, but I think it’s different for most people.
      I tend to annotate my books, an habit I built for school. It’s tiring to write everything you think when you just finished a chapter, but I think that if you want to process a book, you can note down anything you find interesting or important whenever you stumble upon it. Also write line, page. At the end of the book you’ll have a filled notebook with all of your thoughts while you go through the book! You can even write your final thoughts when you finish the book.

    I think this challenge really depends on the length of the book and the size of the font! For example, Jane Eyre is a 700 page book with fairly small writing. Also a book like The Shining is very long too and therefore would take longer.

    • @-a7181
      @-a7181 6 лет назад

      TigerAnimations it has different editions but the one I read was 500 pages🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @Ana-ci5yw

      TigerAnimations i suddenly want to read the shinning now 😂

    • @milly4543
      @milly4543 6 лет назад

      TigerAnimations the one I read was around 550 pages. It took me 3 days because I was reading about 2h a day not more but that was only because I didn't have enough time to read it in one sitting which, given how brilliant the book is, would've been entirely possible. For challenges like this I think it's really important to pick books you'd enjoy regardless of length because reading something uninteresting on a personal level would make it difficult to read quickly and actually absorb the contents of the book. It took me longer to read 50 pages of A Tale of Two Cities than Jane Eyre.

    There is only one thing that I don't like in your videos Ruby, the audio is so annoying because sometimes it's loud and the next second I can't hear anything so I increase the volume then it's too loud again, your videos deserve to have better audio quality, I hope that it will be improved in the future (please improve it! 😃)

This was a very motivational video Ruby thank you! Reading is such an amazing way to either escape from the world or learn about new things❤️ xx
