During world War II an SS officer would never surrender wearing his uniform and full insignia they would have taken it off burned it destroyed it because this is exactly what would happen if they got caught. So kinda fake but badass anyway.

The official Allied position was that since the SS was a branch of the Nazi Party, not legally part of the military (even though they were used as political officers and commissars commonly,) they were illegal combatants despite their uniforms and therefore not eligible for the protections for POWs under the Geneva Convention.
I mean, there had to be a few FIRST times where they got gunned down in uniform before the rest of them learned to go incognito. Not saying it was during this later period here necessarily
Often they would be identified after capture as the SS had a special tattoo (a couple of dots) which gave them priority treatment by their medics.
Completely wrong, there were whole companys that surrendered to the allies with uniforms and all.

They are not in Germany yet man! Not every teacher available is a german speaking guy. Many were forced to collaborate. At least speaks german + english + another language. As almost all Europeans do.

Supposedly English derived from German but to me, German still seems like a very difficult language to learn. A lot of _hwacking_ and gurgling noises from the throat.
This movie had potential and I really wanted to like it but man it just gives up on the plot so early and fills it with scenes meant to convey the “horrors of war” but it comes off as bizarre and out of place.
And that final battle is film ruiningly ridiculous!
