Suppose it is late one evening, and you decide to take a brisk walk. To nowhere in particular, just simply to enjoy the air. As you stroll, you stop to peer through a window. You weren't trying to be nosy, but the open curtains blowing in the soft breeze happened to catch your eye. You see a young witch sitting at her wooden desk. She looms over her spell books, reciting and memorizing incantations. Her brows knit together as she focuses on every word. Candlelight casts a warm golden glow on her face. You blink twice, dazzled by the sight. And suddenly, the scene has changed. You do not see a witch, but a young college student bent over her animation project that is due midnight the following Saturday. In fact, the light on her face is not from that of candle's flame, but from her drawing tablet on which she creates her moving pictures. And she is not silently reciting incantations, but instead mouthing the lip syncing of one of the characters on her screen. You glance around. Did you only imagine the elven mage? Are you perhaps going mad? You shake your head, regaining your composure. Then you smile. You remember being a student of your warlock teacher. You recall your own study sessions lasting late into the night. You know this young woman will be downing cups of steaming coffee and playing motivational music through her headphones for hours upon hours. You click your tongue, pitying the girl. But there is something you can do to help. You close your eyes, and whisper a few short words, casting a Deep Focus spell. Almost immediately, the girl's eyes narrow on her work. She looks fiercely infatuated with it. Nothing will stop her from finishing her project now. You smile again, happy with your good deed of the day. Your shoes make scuffing sounds on the pavement as you continue your walk. The weather is beautiful today. It's cold but sunny, the sky is blue and the birds are chirping.
