I was honestly jungshook at how little vocal effects or processing that there is on the studio version. That’s what’s so crazy about jungkook and his voice to me… is that every single time they sing live… he’s always sounding like the track but and elevated abs better version. I’ve rarely heard someone sound identical to the studio version all the time… like even in bts… they often sound just like the track or better… but that tends to vary with things such as power, stability and pronunciation.. but with jungkook there’s little variation of any unless it’s just adding even more character to his voice. All of them re exceptional singers but the other 3 kinda have a very distinct style and tone… they can sing other ways but predominantly they stay in that specific tone and style in most songs… but jk doesn’t have a specific style or sound and his unorthodox way of learning to sing by basically no lessons but being a lover of all things music… and finding songs and artists he enjoys listening to and trying to sing their song like them… so he doesn’t sing in a conventional way. Him being pitch perfec which is not something you can learn.. it’s just something you have naturally.. definitely helps him in how he kinda taught himself to sing. This fits his personality so well bc he’s someone who loves to learn new things… if he doesn’t understand something.. he does it until he does… he doesn’t always ask for help and doesn’t complain a lot when it comes to his job. For example, when namjoon talked about jk never saying it showing how exhausted he is during the interview about jungkook and how exhausted he was during a concert where they monitored his heart and temperature during the whole concert bc he was really weak.. and super scary to watch however it just highlights that part of him… even when his body is shutting down and telling him to stop.. he finds a way to get it done. I remember watching them doing a soundcheck in their earlier days.. I think 2014 or 2015 kind of around there… and they did a song and all went through lowering someone’s voice, raising someone else’s voice or turning up how they hear it and everyone knows exactly what they want or need .. but when they get to jungkook , he just says that he’s fine .. and the audio person or maybe bang pd responded to him by saying “you never need anything and you’re always okay,” and jk giggled. That’s not bc he didn’t know what he needed or something… but it’s just his adaptability and personality trait of just making things work.. but this characteristic is at the core of who he is and how he responds… it’s really a bit unique and seems underrated a bit. Also, there’s nothing at all wrong with the others saying they needed adjustments… im not saying he’s somehow better bc he doesn’t ask for changes… I’m just saying it’s a factor in how he learns. The others knowing adjustments actually highlights their in depth knowledge of music and performing.. it’s an essential skill … and not saying jk can’t do this.. just an example of how he learns and stuff like that. However he has been taking vocal lessons and learning some techniques that are going to enhance his pristine vocals even more lol if you saw his recent vlive.. than I think you can see the bit of difference in how he was singing sometimes. He recently said in an article that he’s working on being able to sing in his more natural tone of his speaking voice which is much deeper. I love his lower register and he’s got beautiful texture to it… his raspy deeper tone is so not used enough so I’m pumped to hear more of it like this. Wow I’m rambling a friggin essay here… I apologize …. I’m just so proud of him and can’t wait for his solo stuff!!! However Omg hobi may kill me before I even get to hear anything of jungkooks lol but what else could we expect from the golden hyung lol I’m loving the beginning of hobis album with his edgy and darker concept so far… but knowing his album is like a story… is SO exciting imo!!! Hobis artistry I think is underrated as well… but I know that’s going to change with this solo album… he came out way different than any of us could expect i think.. but “more” is gonna be insane live with the band that I hope will be there… and it kinda fits into a festival vibe… and can’t wait to get the album too!!! I do feel a bit sad that he’s going to be there all alone… I just wonder how that’s going to go is all. I also wonder why we haven’t gotten any live performances of “more”yet… and like is he gonna do music shows and stuff… so many questions and I’m rambling again. Omg I’m sorry.. if you made it this far… you’re a real one for sure! I can’t wait to get alll of their content. Let’s show so much love to our 7 BOYS in their solo projects and show the world that we are not run by solo Stan’s alone… and that army will go to bat for any one of them 💜
