I really like this interview, this guy you could probably sit around all day & talk to. He is a wealth of knowledge, ain't many like him left & it's a good thing he's around so let's treasure him & continue 2 salute him✊🏿✊🏿
Good interview. Mark is a super guy to talk to. Lots of stories. No power steering on that old KW. He is old school for sure. Not many like him left. You are doing a much better job letting the interviewer do the talking, and not you talking so much. Thank you for improving! Thumbs up!
Loved the interview, very well done 💯 I hope you the interviewer and yours are well, especially seeings you're not posting at this time. You're a fine and respectful gentleman. So, I can see why haulers have trusted you to pass along their very special trucking experiences. God bless you and yours...
Great interview with a hands-on trucker. Not meny of them left in the business these dayes . Love the A model K - Wamper square doors & ripple back coffin bunk .The name on porch sign on trailer & on truck door is REAL OLD SCOOL (mashonit).
Cattle handling is ALL ABOUT reading them. Keep m calm no shouting - hollering - don't burn m up with hot- shot. Body follows head get them face n the direction u want m to go & send m. Give m time to see what u want m to do ( DON'T CROWD m too much ). Prep gates& trailer so when they go on u van get a gate on m . It s all about smooth & ezy . Lastly never put ur body in a BAD POSITION ( think & live in the moment ).These are but a few things I learned ( the HARD way ) 45 years in sale barns / feed lots/ hauling cattle & buckin bulls .
So unless you pull a bullrack, you're not a real trucker? Granted, there aren't many old timers left in general, but there are real truckers pulling all kinds of freight.
