Sir, thank you for posting this information and video. Good to listen to someone like you who knows the Hebrew text.
If you don't mind I would like to ask you a question concerning the verse in Genesis 48: 19 where the King James translated reads, " Manasseh will be a people he shall be great but his younger will be greater for he shall become a multitude of nations."
I went to Blue Letter Bible and Strong's Concordance and noticed that the words Great & Greater were verbs, not adjectives. I also did a word search on these words and discovered only here in this verse the verb form used. So, my understanding of what Jacob was saying, Manasseh would grow to become a large nation but Ephraim would become even larger in numbers because he would be in many places. I also noticed that the word " grow in verse 16 is of the same root as great and greater. I recalled what Moses said about Manasseh and Ephraim in Deuteronomy 33 that Manasseh would have his thousands but Ephraim his Tens of thousands. If my understanding is correct then this chapter is not about a birthright but about numbers and not even preferred, favored, or placing Ephraim above Manasseh.
I know my translation is somewhat rough but this is the way I understand what the text says.
I would appreciate your view and if I'm uncorrected the paddle of correction will be kissed. Thank You.
