An ABSOLUTELY diabolical torture device at that. Seriously, what the fuck? I've never felt so bad for a fictional character before. I seriously hope they didn't let that man go home without the forget juice, because he would've most certainly eaten his service pistol's anomalous hollow point round.
The most concerning aspect of the anomaly is that it can be used as a physical torture device that DOESNT leave any physical marks or proof of torture. Meaning governments, corps, etc, could use them without consequences.
Imagine a torture victim telling the authorities about how some criminals tortured him by putting wrist watches on him that made his limbs and bones grow out into hideous deformity but the traumatized frantic victim has no physical damage. The torture victim might end up locked in a looney bin somewhere while the people who tortured him might not even get arrested due to their victim being deemed hopelessly insane and his word having no credibility.

The thing I find disturbing about SCPs like this, is wondering their origin. Since they're modelled after a cartoon, were they orginally made by someone(or something) that wanted to hurt children?
You gotta remember the anomalies are for the most part from a different dimension, space or magical in nature. There's a ton of creatures that are neutral and will kill any poor fucker they get their hands on. I think some weirdo just saw the cartoon and decided to make a torture device out of it.
“SCP-1808-Beta” “After extensive research and testing with the 6 1808 watches, the foundation was able to produce one of their own, with a custom design, using minor parts from one of the watches. The effects of the original watch was seen in the new prototype, but severely diminished. Bones would only grow when the knob was turned, there was no laughing, and they couldn’t break past the skin. The pain, however, remained.” “With testing on D-Class, they discovered that placing it on specific organisms would instead cause the bones to become more dense, therefore stronger and more durable. The requirements for this new discovery are not completely uncovered, but one of them is having never watched the SpongeBob SquarePants cartoon. The more the knob was turned, the denser the bones. Eventually, they became harder than steel but the sheer weight prevented the D-Class subject to move, and gravity crushed his organs.” “The foundation employs several of these 1808-Beta watches to members of certain MTF squads that deal with deadly anomalies. Even SCP-682 struggles to break bones after they become stronger than 682’s own bones, which are notoriously difficult to smash or crush and must be destroyed through precise drilling and sawing.” “One D-Class put the watch around her neck and let her teeth grow only a small amount. She then placed a watch on each arm and purposely held back her skin as the bones grew only a small amount, making makeshift claws. The subject was popular for testing because they can’t feel pain after an accident as a small child. The d-class proceeded to use her new sharp teeth and claws to escape her cell, killing multiple scientists, researchers, and guards. Further testing on D-Class is prohibited since then and only trusted MTFs under the O5 Council can use the watches.” Edit: after extensive trying, I finally joined the Wikihow!
