When I dont measure up or fail as a wife or mom...i listen to this song. I always know that no matter what I do or dont do, I am perfect in Jesus' eyes. Jesus is the only one who truly knows my heart. It aches me every day bc all I want is to be with Him for eternity...not having to worry about my mistakes or comdemnation. This song makes me ball my eyes out...literally!...a yearning song that my heart sings for Jesus' arms around me! I love you Jesus and i am so grateful that you chose me and sought me so I can spend eternity with you in your arms!
I heard this song on the radio today. I started crying immediately . It's been such a long time that I've been able to cry or even had that reaction to a song .. thank you so much for this song it is helping me heal
Same exact thing happened to me, I thought about writing it in comment but didn't want to share what was too personal. One month later.. your comment is the first one when I came on to hear this song again. To me it says a lot.
I heard this on the radio once a while back and looking back, this is what helped me the most with my doubts about my appearance. I completely forgot about it, even used to sing the lyrics by heart, and hearing it now made me tear up. God created a perfect human being, not a mistake. ❤❤

My youngest daughter sent this song to me and her big sister. We had just been on a 3•way call yesterday talking about how we are so hard on ourselves, analyzing our every word in any given conversation, after the fact. We all 3 definitely have the perfectionism trait in us. This song hits home. this truly is a heart-touching piece. it deserves every little piece of the music industry. it's truly a storytelling piece, amazing to see who you really are. seriously, who cares what people think of you? some people might, but we have a God who doesn't. Doesn't seem very appropriate for a so-called "Christian" song.
Loving yourself is a Biblical concept. We are told to love our neighbors as ourselves - not more or less. It’s actually called the greatest commandment along with loving God. (Mark 12:31)
