Don Pedro reminds me a lot of my grandfather, a man who achieved much in his life and had everything anyone could ask for. A beautiful home and family that all seemed like a fairy tale. right until the end he worked hard and was always kind and humble, he loved his family, his dogs and his cows, he took joy from the simple things, treating himself with chocolate or a cheeky beer, dinner with family and cartoons with his grandkids I miss him dearly
Yeah just me a 25 year old dude crying at the last scene, this movie was made a year before I was born and it’s probably the best love story I ever seen. Thanks for this recap
When I got back from Afghanistan no one was there to meet me. I waited at the airport for 2 hours than I took an $80 (back in 2012) taxi home. When I got home, my wife was in the hospital with my 3 year old son and my parents were oblivious, firstly they had watched my son while my wife worked and he was injured during, than that I had been frantically calling. Such is life sometimes. But yeah, it was embarrassing sitting there in uniform (as they had us travel home).
You couldn't ask for a more noble, honorable, and virtuous man than the character that Keanu portrayed. I find myself wishing that this story was real life, with me as that man.
And once we fall in love with noble and honorable person, our story becomes a true life... I am not trying to patronize you, but simply "preaching" from self experience 🖖😇
Honor. Integrity. Respect. Selfless devotion. Family. Faith. It's up to each of us to emulate these virtues, and one household at a time, to rebuild our broken society.
If only he wasn’t married.💁🏻♀️ I had a feeling his wife would be sleeping with someone else at the very beginning. Before that scene where she slept with someone else.
Man when I watch this recap it made me cry all that work they did to that land is gone within a minute and the father just had so much suppressed emotions
That's the father's sin, his pride. Instead of being humble and loving his family he thought his pride and hard work was enough to express that love but it wasnt that was just his pride not his heart
Not much of a person with open feelings. Being a man,but this movie really moves me just like it did in 1995 great classic with a great believable story ,can really relate to the characters and there emotions in delivering such a wonderful performance. I think this was just great being set back in the 1940s when life was just grand, definitely not the world we share today.sad, peace ✌ everyone.
I'm a guy, but I get so wrapped up in this beautiful story. This to me is the most wonderful love story I've ever seen. This will forever be one of my ten most loved movies.
For someone who owns an inherent piece of land in the pacific islands and have to look after it for years, good grief this recap of a movie made me depressed at the end when all that land they worked on basically got ruined! I would react the same as them too. Possibly worse.
It is stolen land belonging to the native indigenous people and transatlantic slave trade was used to build the vineyard. Americans need to acknowledge this instead of making movies showing themselves as the good guys
Shouldn't we praise him more? I mean, she didn't do anything spectacular to be remembered so fondly. Of course she's pretty and kind, like all the ladies in the movie (except the lack of kindness from the wife), but, you're telling me that's the only thing keeping you from moving on in life?
Alberto only notice his thing of selling chocolate but didn't notice of his uniform as a soldier in WW2. Is he not aware of a world war happened at that time and the US with allies are won? Like these soldiers are treated like rockstars when they came back. And also chocolate is an expensive food. I don't know if he made it himself or a reseller.
I enjoy your movie recaps, especially this one. It's been my all time favorite since I saw it in the theater in the early 90s. It's one of the few DVD movies I have left, along with another Keanu Reeves movie, The Lake House. Keanu Reeves is great as an actor and as a kind and generous human being. One oops! in tbe dialogue, Paul doesn't return to "Florida ", but to San Francisco.
No offence but am not marrying a woman carrying a child for another man. What happens when that man comes back to his sense and wants both the child and the woman, who is now my wife? Fight for my love? Nosense
Sooooo. She doesn't tell her family that she was the one who messed up and got knocked up by her professor and let keanu go through hell who also saved her brother from the fire and saved the vineyard. Thanks movie recap i would never get through this movie on my own
I am so glad I found your channel, these are my favorite type of movies, and your recaps are top notch 👌🏽 thank you for your hard work and excellent commentary, which is as good as watching the movie all over again 🍿❤️🎥
Nice story of tragedy, betrayal, love and resilience. It was nice that Paul find out that his wife was cheating him while he stay faithful resisting victoria's love. Now he is free, he decided to back and ask.Victoria to marry him. Nice ending for Victoria and Paul
Moral of the story " men get yourself a woman who is already pregnant and women get yourself a man who is already married" Oohh so this was John Wick cover up story of how he met his wife
It’s not the men that is the issue. It is the women today think they can step into a man’s shoes. Many of today’s women are not intelligent enough to realize men and women do not wear the same shoes. There are exceptions to the rule however You must decide what shoes You are going to wear.
One thing, at the end the fire in the vineyard spread very fast, in real life that doesn't happen and the vine plant even burnt, is very difficult to uproot it
I remember when I first watched this and I remember this was the first movie Keanu made after Speed. I think during this period Point Break, Speed and A Walk in the Clouds were Keanu at his best looking and olive skinned instead of that horribly pasty white he was in the Matrix. This movie was at its heart a simple and very basic movie. Except the Director and Cinematographer did a fantastic job to create a visual masterpiece. 😂❤
One of the best movie I have ever seen 😍❤️.... And the review tooo
I 💯 agree best review so far🤞
Yep
Yes
This is one of my top feel good movies.
It's like Keanu Reeves was acting as himself, an upright and kind man.
So this is the woman that John Wick lost huh I can see why he went on a rampage when he lost the dog she gave him.
That’s what i was thinking too lol 😂
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@itsmaniog7044 lol connecting movies that have nothing to do with each other is always the best 😆
I know right. She is really 🔥. And it would be awesome to live there
She was getting pregnant by DK of Tokyo drift
This man kept trying to leave but gramps was like “but wait there’s more!” everytime 😂
This role must be easy for Keanu Reeves cause he is kind hearted in real life

Hehe
Felt bad for him when his gal never showed up after he returned from battle.

True. She had given him such a poor excuse for not reading his letters. Sad

Movies like this should be a timeless classic.
It’s on the internet now. It’s eternal.
I remember watching this in highschool. Thank you for reminding me of "A Walk in the Clouds" twenty-seven years later.
The older woman wasnt a maid. She was Don Pedro's wife. Victoria's grandmother.
Didn’t think I could get angered at a recap but Mr. Alberto is the runner up! 🤬
Florida looks a lot like San Fransisco!
The father has the emotional maturity of a toddler.

All because of a man's anger and pride.
These were the days when a man could move 2 miles away and start a new family, and nobody would ever know.
Paradise
Whoever did the casting....The pregnant womans mom looks like her real life mom...
Great movie and great recap. This is the type of woman you can never forget and move on from.
