Ian Leather yes, you are correct. Shoujo manga does mean "girl" manga, i.e. the romantic kind with lots of exaggerated "pretty" girls and "charming" boys.
How did you get DeSmuME to run so smooth? i'm really struggling to get it to run well I would like to play these games for recording or screen sharing and such, i do have physical copies of these games but my 3DS doesn't have a capture card, nor do i feel comfortable with modding it to have one.
The girls are available in the highest difficulty. You have to beat the game in Kakan ni Ouen (Bold Cheering - Normal) first, then you'll unlock Gekiretsu ni Ouen (Fierce Cheering - Hard) with the team leaders and finally Karei ni Ouen where the girls take the stage.
