23:27 it was a missing D.D.D. symbol on the entry request. There can also be missing D.D.D. symbols on the I.D.s, missing expiration dates, expired I.D.s, wrong I.D. numbers, & misspelled names. You really have to watch for small details like that. The Roman thing at 9:34 though... that was a voice line error. He's supposed to tell you he forgot it & you should call his wife, but when his wife isn't home he repeats his last voice line.
I love how in depth they get over some "neighbors" that couldn't be more obviously doppelgangers if they tried, still going and cross comparing every piece of info possible 😂
I mean in a game about alien doppelgangers having their ids last for 30+ years isn't that unusual. It just means in that universe they do expiration dates differently
I feel like it makes less sense then, in a world where everyone is worried about their identity being stolen you’d think their ids would have to change every time their appearance did
@@alexisatuatara570 irl a lot of things we do don't make sense for what we're worried about as well. Every government of law has flaws, fiction or not. My comment was just moreso about suspending disbelief for minor things like that when we have doppels running around
I'm pretty sure if the person is on the list, then calling the apartment won't help. They have to show up eventually, so until they do, they clearly won't be home, unless you already let them in and just forgot.
@@ashandkenzmorris You're incorrect, neither of them were on the list this episode. Edit- The people on the list were: Margarette Bubbles, Nacha Mikaelys, Dr. W. Afton, Lois Stilnsky, Izaack Gauss, Angus Ciprianni, Albertsky Peachman, and Roman Stilnsky. The twins were not on the list.
the list means they are scheduled to come in and will never be home unless you send them inside so phoning people that are on the list will never give you new info. calling is for when someone not on the list comes by and you need to confirm they arent at home
This is fun, but it doesn't seem to have the same legs as Papers Please. That game was able to tell a surprisingly tense story with it's limited mechanics while this one doesn't seem to be reaching for any kind of story.
Fun little game, and great to have Aenne back (hope the trip was absolutely awesome)! Have you guys checked out Lil' Guardsman? It's a gate check game but with a lot more narrative with some pretty cool mechanics for trying to figure out if people are sneaking stuff into the city, or lying and such.
I was very happy to see another episode of this game. 😊 It kind of reminds me of that one demo you played where you guarded the town gates or something. 🤔
The chant should be Checklist 1 &. 2 (entry, and requirements), ID, Entry pass, Floor folder, Dial room. Im pretty sure that eliminates half of what you need to shallowly check, then go nitpick on details if nothing else 😂
ID’s not driver license can have long or no expiration date, and will show up as 00-00-0000 or xx-xx-xxxx. Used to work tsa and saw a common amount of these ID.
I get your complaints on how expiration dates are not fairly realistic But this game is honestly limited in resources. Most doppelgangers use the same line of "I have an emergency at work" and when a character forgets their id or permit, they say the exact same thing. So having randomly generated years as far as 1999 isnt that surprising in this game for it to be suspicious doppelganger behavior. Dont overthink it, thats all
In AZ your driver's license won't expire for like 50 years. I have to look it up when people needed cigarettes and I had to id them, I thought they were fakes at first. Lol
It's kinda weird because that happened before for me, and if you ask squidward about his appearance, he's supposed to tell you that "oh my hat? I forgot at home, you can call my wife to check that" and then you call her and she confirms it. Since they actually asked about his appearance and all he said was "good afternoon" I think either the dialogue glitched, or he wasn't the one that was unjustly "cleaned"
With the guy not wearing a hat, while yes it said: wears a hat. It does not mean they always wear a hat. If i remember correctly from last episode there was a persone where it said ALWAYS wears a hat, meaning if theh don't it's a fake. But kf it doesn't say always it can be the real person
it's chess boxing if i recall correctly. or boxing chess whichever way it is i forget. so yes she is correct. the only one i don't understand is. the " how many times do you fold a piece of paper to equal the distance between the shire and Moroder." that question he gives, is beyond me. idk it.
Ash, watch the video at the begining of the game it DOES say to do BOTH That being said I think calling is specifically made for when people aren’t on the list. Price is right and it’s the guy without the hat
Are you sure that you have the real Aenne with you and not a doppelganger?))) Maybe the real Aenne is still in Japan, or even you have a “Little Red Riding Hood”-type situation here)))

he's an idiot
The last neighbour didn't have the DDD logo in the entry request BTW!

Aenne is not wrong, it is chess. Boxing Chess
Yes this is a thing...
Well Chess boxing not boxing chess
yeah, that's a wild sport.
Lol I just kept chanting chess boxing, hoping they would psychically hear me. Alas, no. But they'll know for next time 😄
Apparently the Logo can be missing on the id
Fun fact: Arizona ID cards have no expiration date, and driver's licenses last 50 years (you do have to update your photo ever 12 years though).
I ACTUALLY KNEW ABOUT CHESS BOXING! Lol

For a while there, Arizona had IDs that didn't expire for like 50 years. I've seen them that were good till 2045 or later.
The one day the man forgets his hat he gets murdered in cold blood...
chess boxing is the answer for the question that allows you to punch someone in the face. Aenne was half right.

I have a lifetime fishing license that doesn't expire until 2317
stop lying. ID’s never last that wrong!. (I am being sarcastic)

Chess boxing. You can punch your opponent if they capture a piece in chess boxing.
I love this game

i googled the third question on the quiz. apparently theres a hybrid sport called Chess Boxing, where you can win by checkmate or knockout.
One thing to keep in mind is if the person is on the list, that means that they are not home. So it's save time for calling.
Arizona has ID that expires in 30+ years

I didn't know who Ludwig was until like a year ago lol (Aenne)

calling them when they not home it's not helping you guys cases 😂
Peachman did not have the DDD logo on his entry form!
What if the expiration date on the ID is the expiration date of the person...
The date in the ID isnt just their birth date/year?
Not unless they're yet to be born. The game is set in 1955.
