She seems willing to allow items not worn for decades to be seen again which is lovely. Both Queen Camilla and Princess Anne stole the show in my opinion, Anne was absolutely stunning in that beautiful gown - she still has the athletic body from her younger years but she has also always had subtle curves which mean she shows of her clothing to perfection while Queen Camilla was absolutely beyond stunning, she was beautiful.

As to Anne, she hasn't lost weight, she still wears clothing she's worn for years and it isn't any baggier on her (and you can generally tell when something is taken in) while her hair is always worn in that style. It is easy to fix a tiara into hair that is up like that and apparently she finds it quick and easy to put up herself, it also always looks neat, tidy and, most importantly of all, PROFESSIONAL when out working. Sorry, the Tiara doesn't have that meaning. Lady Di was also mother of Prince William who will become King. If Diana was still alive, Prince William would have done what he told her and even more since then : Give back her H&R Titles for her security. (See Protocole of the BRF). Lady Di didn't appreciate much Queen Mom either. She wrote in her book that she had ruf time at Clarence House with Queen Mom. This historic residence, was the official residence of the Queen Mother at that time. Also Lady Di found that tiara much to simple and difficult to wear. I've red that in her book. I'm 58. I am so glad you mentioned the Duchess of Gloucester's bandeau and jewelry. I think it was so lovely on her, and it didn't overwhelm her like a larger tiara might. When I dug around to find out what the tiara was, I was shocked to find out we hadn't seen it in so long. I was absolutely *thrilled* to see Princess Catherine in the Strathmore! While Camilla looked fabulous, I too love the original version of the Burmese tiara, it is a perfect match to the necklace and bracelet Her Late Majesty was wearing in the black and white photo, it just oozes refined taste and elegance. Also lovely to see the emerald and diamond Gloucester Tiara. I hope we start seeing more of the other pieces in the vault shared among some of the younger Royals as well. Thanks Brittany and keep up the great work! Cheers from Canada!

    Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon was the name of the late Queenmother (dowager queen of King George VI) before marriage. And the velvet padded base frame is newly added to the Strathmore Rose Tiara, also in order to stabilise it. Very cleverly done. HM QC had the Burmese Ruby Tiara altered a little as well, in this case the frame was opened up a little more to make the piece fit her slightly wider head (QE II obviously, the petite person she was, had a smaller head). My theory regarding the Gloucester Emerald Bandeau Tiara is that it might have rested in the BRF's main vault (by mistake, perhaps) and was now re-discovered when QC and Catherine, PoW, browsed through to assess the jewels. The Duke of Gloucester then most likely stepped forward to claim that one as it once belonged to his late mother. It seems some movement had come to the jewel vaults since the death of her late majesty QE II, which is a good thing, indeed. My guess is that QC will wear the major tiaras as they are known - and unknown, one can always hope! - to the public in an alternating way and that Catherine gets to wear the slightly smaller pieces (plus her big gun QM's Lovers Knot T.) in a similar manner.

      The Gloucester Bandeau is property of the Gloucesters and was passed from the Dowager Duchess to her Son, the current Duke upon her death. Maybe the current duchess wanted a smaller tiara to balance with the others being worn.

    Catherine seems to have a real sense of duty, and it shines through every time we see her, it must weigh heavy on her at times, especially when she is away from her children, she reminds me of the young queen when she first came to the throne, there is no self importance there and she is just very natural and warm towards people, the royal family are lucky to have her, she will make an excellent queen when the time comes, but I hope she has some time before that happens as she is very family orientated and loves to spend time with her children, she is so ellegant, they make a lovely couple, the tiara is beautiful xx

    I actually like the Burmese Ruby tiara on Queen Camila. In a close-up photo the rubies may seem not incorporated into the design TOO well and I get your point. However, it looks absolutely stunning on the Queen, what with her stature, hair style and yes, her age. I think that visually it "lifts" her face. • @glamdolly30
    @glamdolly30 5 месяцев назад +3

    Oh that is a stunning tiara - and Catherine Princess of Wales, wears it well! It's rarely acknowledged by the mass media, but in fact the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, was a very stylish woman, with a sublime eye for flamboyant - and always elegant - jewellery. This tiara with its oversized, diamond daisies, is a prime example of her fabulous, bold taste.
    The daisy emblem was also seen in the Queen Mother's favourite earrings, a gorgeous pair of large, dangle daisy-style diamond ear ornaments which echoed this tiara. They were absolutely divine - what I wouldn't give to even own replicas - and as big and bold as they were, she loved them so much she wore them for daytime engagements.
    Sadly those magnificent earrings have only been seen once since the Queen Mother's death on 30th March 2002, when her daughter Queen Elizabeth chose to wear them for an evening, red carpet occasion.
    I would love to see the photogenic Catherine adopt those earrings that were so beloved of the late Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. She possesses the strong good looks, confidence and poise to carry them off - even for daytime events, as William's great grandmother did! When the larger-than-life Queen Mum arrived and greeted people at public events, they adored seeing her - and her incredible diamond jewellery - sparkle,
    I am sure King Charles is only too thrilled to see his delightful daughter-in-law Catherine, wearing the jewellery he vividly remembers seeing on his beloved grandmother. The Queen Mum loved her grandson Charles dearly, and was like a mother to him, when his own mother was so busy with her new duties as Monarch. That's the most wonderful thing about jewellery - on the right woman, it reflects out her own special, sparkling internal qualities.

      It is called The Strathmore Rose Tiara because her parents bought it for her. Earl & Countess of Strathmore.
      It was made in the late 19th century so was over 20 years old when they bought it.
      The five roses can be worn as brooches and there are five sapphires that can be added. It also has two frames so it can be worn on the forehead or as Catherine wore on top of the head.
