      Why did he kill Dumbledore?

    • @CornballLyric
      @CornballLyric 2 месяца назад +71

      @mystery0223oj Because Dumbledorr was dying after he used the Riddle family's cursed ring to try and bring his sister back from the dead. When Snape killed Dumbledore he both spared Draco Malfoy from from having to do so and made Dumbledore's death count for something useful. The moment Snape killed Dumbledore he showed his absolute loyalty to Voldemort meaning his presence among the Death Eaters would never be questioned again by any one. It made his position as a spy at the heart of Voldemorts empire safe and secure as well. He absolutely never wanted to kill Dumbledore but Dumbledore new it was the only way to both save Draco and make sure Snape would eventually be able to become head master of Hogwarts which then allowed him to secretly protect all the students there from the excesses of the Death Eaters stationed at Hogwarts. He was also able to help Harry out from the side lines like when he took the sword of Godric Gryffindor from Hogwarts and made sure Harry and his friends were able to find it right when they needed it. So Dumbledore made Snape promise to kill him for all of the above reasons. Severus Snape without a doubt became one of the most courageous characters in the HP universe ✨️.

      Only after attempting to get lily for himself by getting James and Harry killed and asking voldy to not kill lily. He was in on the murders and thought he could just swoop in and get Lily for himself after helping murder her husband and infant! But she wouldn't get out of the way, so voldy killed her, breaking his word to Snape. Only then did he go to Dumbledore, not because he loved lily and wanted to protect her son, but because he was ANGRY that voldy killed "his girl" and wanted to get his revenge. In the movies they made it much more romantic and heroic, and don't get me wrong in the end he was a hero, but he was a creep who lusted after Lily and only helped Harry Potter because he was key in his revenge against voldy. He had a shit childhood and he was bullied at school, I'm not saying he doesn't have valid reasons for being the way he is, but twisting the way he is to make him more empathetic is just not true to the story. Snape runs off of hate and vengeance, not deep seeded love.

Lily's was to bring Harry into the world. The slightest hint of any bond between those two and Voldemort would have twigged to Harry's role as the unintentional horcrux. The part about Harry having to DIE, sojourn in the afterlife, and rise again is cut-and-pasted from a much older story. The only part missing is the messenger angel hitting James upside the head with a 2x4 and telling him that it's his JOB to marry the immaculate Lily 😮 ! Harry made sure that Severus’s portrait remained in Hogwarts and told everyone of the sacrifices he made. Even giving his son his name along with Albus.

    He always saw Lilly in Harry. It was always a pain to him because he also saw James as well. His love and hate were so intermingled that he had no way of accepting Harry in a loving way. He could never care for the james part of him, but he always cared for the part of Harry that was lilly.
    I always saw it as a cruel love. His vile demeanor to Harry was the only way he could have any real emotion reach toward Harry. For her.

    Easily the best scene in the entire movie series. So moving and touching because the Patronus spell is conjured by one's happiest feelings. For Snape it was his never ending love for Lily Potter, and the reason he died. He was my favorite for his courage and commitment to defeating Voldemort.
