    TODAY'S VIDEO...
    Today's video is something I've wanted to try out for a while. I love electric transport and would love to get my own when I can afford it. But luckily I live in Southampton, one of the UK's cities that are trialing the electric scooter scheme to see how well it works, how sustainable it is, etc.
    So today I thought that I would actually have a go on one. I've seen them around the city, but I've never actually been on an electric scooter before, I've tried Neil's bikes, and his skateboard at one point, but never a scooter. If it wasn't for the fact that you're not allowed to legally ride ones you own yourself in public areas, I would have bought one myself already. So this is the next best thing.
    So here we go...
    WHO JOINED ME TODAY...
    No one :(

    That’s the result of overregulation. Here in Germany you can drive and park them anywhere. So it’s a perfect combination with public transport.

    Great video and review thanks - I would feel a bit too vulnerable on roads with no cycle lanes though - especially in rush hour Plymouth 😳

      @BigTazeGames  2 года назад +1

      Yeah they are in a bit of a grey area, I see why they don't want them on the pavements but I also they shouldn't really be on the roads it's a tough one.

    I do enjoy using these scooters when I do but do need improvement like the price or the day or month pass should be unlimited in terms of mins and so on just fin it more convenient then having to find bus times and wait for the bus

    I think there dangerous, I'd much rather walk or use my moped.
    Cool video I just hope they don't roll them out to my town.
    Cost wise my bike is £8 to fill up and will do a week's worth of riding on it.
    Probably just as eco friendly
    I love electric vehicles, and will probably get an electric motorcycle at some point. When the prices aren't so high.

      Yeah I agree I think atm it is far too early for them to be rolled out

    I live in Southampton and wanted to find out more about these E-Scooters. I will be looking out for your E-Bike video. I moved from a Mustang to a Tesla a few months back and I haven't regretted that at all. :-)

    Hi Tazer,we have had the electric scooters in Liverpool for a long time now,but never fancied trying it out,l believe it is costly to hire. You had to return your scooter to a designated area's but by me they our left everwear,but you never see them getting picked up from where they have been left next day scooters taken away.
    But for me l will be sticking to by none electric bike for now. 👍

      @BigTazeGames  2 года назад +1

      Same here they are left everywhere but I think the people doing that must be people that have just nicked them cause otherwise if u were on the app u would still be getting charged for using it till u park it in a designated spot

    Hi Tazer, I’m back, I’ve been well poorly for so long, not COVID thankfully, I think you should burn that scooter and then run. No wonder all the scooters are in the scooter bay, what a rip off. Good to see you. Xxx

    • @BigTazeGames

      Lol burn it and run off 🤣 that made me chuckle. Tbh I have actually used this a few more times since filming this and the scooters I have used have been much much better, so I'm still on the fence. Glad you're feeling better, good to see you back 👍

    Hi, when your scooter stopped it was locked, i could see on the app it said "unlock and ride" which you need to press to unlock it or the wheels will be motor locked

    The future is here... 14p per minute to walk your hireskoot around. Shady shady shady. As a skoot owner, you ride safe you stay safe. Dismount when any obstacles come your way, walk it across traffic lights and road's, ride when clear. Bad 1st experience for ya fella, hireskoots are battered day in day out so really ya don't know what you are riding til it's too late.

    I totally agree with the conclusion you've come up with for these. They are a great idea but definitely need to iron out the costings etc. Whenever I pass them they very rarely look like they are in use and could be a fantastic tool to get around the city of priced competitively

    • @BigTazeGames
      @BigTazeGames  2 года назад +1

      Yeah absolutely. I feel I side with what a lot of people are feeling about these atm, and that is just that they are being used to grab a bit of cash from consumers from the hype of electric vehicles. If they were priced fairly and we had the option to purchase and ride out own ones on the roads, but u can't cause no insurers with insure u. Then I would feel like these could be a good option. As it is they are pricey, buggy and a bit of a monopoly on the electric scooter market.

      I would agree but tried it on the road and still didn't work and have rode since on the pavement and had no issues, think it was just a dud.
