This was the original DUKES! What a great band and how entertaining they were. The "early days" of this group, trombones being played were the fine King 2B Liberty 'bones, before Freddie and Papa "Jac" switched (abt 1957) to the Olds Recorder trombones which they played beautifully.

Saw this group around the same time except with Peanuts Hucko on clarinet! Gene Schroeder was featured and played "Tenderly". I was blown away! A very underrated pianist!
