She's smoother, has better choreography and is more with the music than you typically see in Russia. They do focus more on the jumps, but that doesn't mean they always do them right either, they just have tricks to force them out.

And I'm glad she didn't RUSH to put on her jacket in the kiss and cry. That's the chance for viewers to really get a good look at the dress. The skaters today kill me rushing to put on those tacky team jackets. It screams of the 6 place Junior skater who finally got an international assignment and wants to show the world he/she represented the U.S. in international competition. We get it. If you're the real deal, you don't need the jacket in the kiss and cry. One thing I would like to see Isabeau bring back, given she'll be a skater of some influence soon, is the grand curtesy. Please STOP at center ice and curtesy like the great divas of the past. Today, too many do this melodramatic skating around, making the audience wait ... you want drama, put it in the curtesy. The ice dancers are the WORST. When they finish, they always breakdown, pretending like it's the best performance of a lifetime. You only get to do those displays of emotion a few times before people think it's a put on. Again, you can give drama, but in the right spot. Do all that huffing and puffing behind the scenes when you get off the ice. But after the performance, the drama should be in the curtesy.
Nice and talented girl. Russian FS and choreography are a good example to follow. In 2021, Isabeau needs more speed and better jumping technique, but has potential as a great athlete. Note pls that Russian traditional hairstyle NEVER is asymmetrical though. And there's never been lacing on the back)))))) otherwise very good in character. Wishing best of luck!
