Im gonna just straddle spy , only problem i have is knowing when to cut the loser, or in some cases. Il hold winner until it clears cost of both options then sell and stop loss my way to profit on my loser as it hopefully retraces

For the Newbie if you are actually trading in the crypto space and you don't have a sound mentor. Then you are certainly going to get liquidated in 90% of your trades. Yeah that's sad truth. I remember when i just got into crypto back in 2019 but later in 2020 i ended up selling it because i have lost alot trading all by myself without a guide. Got back into crypto early in 2023 with $120k and I'm up with $632k in a short period of time. Thanks to Milton Harper.
The market isn't logical and frequently seems to have its own motivation. There are times when it seems to 'want' to go up or down and then it will discount bad or good news, seemingly for no reason. The price action is what it is and I've learned, from bitter experience, not to even THINK the word 'should'. Just going wirh the flow is far safer!
If you have to think about what to do... and when to do it... you trading system is not specific enough. For example say you are a support and resistance trader. If price on that spy chart goes up and hits the down trendline and gets rejected... you would short right there with a stop loss order above the trendline. Profit area would be the gap fill. I never get greedy I put it a little above the gap. That way I know I can get out on my terms. (In this example buy to cover when people are still selling). Losing correctly is really the whole trick to all of this. A 75% positive expectancy set up is worthless if you don't take the stops when you should on the 25% of the times it does not work.
