This is just pure nostalgia. The style of production and presentation is still the best in the business. I miss the OG Top Gear, as long as we have these, it’s never totally gone 👌

I absolutely love builds like this. This is the perfect way to build a car. It's not changing it. It's making everything better.
This was so refreshing to watch. Reminded me of the Top Gear episode featuring Jeremy's heartfelt segment featuring the Aston Martin Vantage. Well done, DT 👏🏻

ah man i missed this, everyone always loved the tours and specials of Top Gear but this is what i miss... Car review but with soul and excellent production value, BRAVO!
I have missed these kinds of car review like vids. Top Gear, whether Hammond, May, or Clarkson, always did a wonderful job. Wish there were still more of these.
I fell in love with this car so much when it was featured, I was actually motivated to buy a 4.2 XKR in blue and have it as my daily driver. I drove it to the DriveTribe meet last year and had an epic day. However sadly whilst on my way home from the gym in November I aquaplaned at about 60 mph onto the grass verge on a B road about 2 miles from my house and went head on into a tree. Luckily nobody was injured besides my lovely Jaaagg. I hope whoever buys this car loves and enjoys it as much as I loved mine.
If I had six figures to spend, I'd buy a dozen or more Jag XK's and send them all off to the Jag race shop that did this conversion, and have them do it again to a few more cars. So glad that Hammond likes it. I firmly believe that this is the absolute best Jag XK in the whole world. We need many more people working hard to keep the classic manual transmission alive. Thanks.
I absolutely loved this car. I would have loved to have seen some real power making upgrades thrown at it. Headers, cat delete, upgraded supercharger, intercooling system, smaller SC and larger crank pullies, E85 fuel system, and intake upgrades.
A smaller sc pulley would ruin the engine. The eaton unit on these is very inefficient and adds a ton of heat at higher rpms, only way to really get more power out of the aj27s is to get a twin screw SC and swap it in
This is the car content I need. I love this generation of XK and the one that came after even more, I always wished they had a proper manual. A dream realized, for sure. Even XJs of that era were so charming, I’d have loved one with a manual. Closest we got was an S Type with a stick.

I think Drivetribe is now the new place for the Trio to continue their antics together and express their love for cars.
I don't think Clarkson is much involved with Drivetribe. I do see May occasionally, but still not as frequent as Hammond.
Hammond owns Drivetribe now. It’s his baby.
Clarkson has mentally moved on to farming. May rather fancies his new role in Life. Now, Hammond is really the only active geared left of the trio.
