watching this episode makes me remember Christmas time in my childhood years! Then when I became a teen, I wished I was little againand everything could be so simple once again. Now I am even older, but it seems like things have become a little more simpler and my greatest Christmas after my childhood years was just this last Christmas, I had a wonderful time watching my nieces and nephews open their gifts and the house was full of loved ones!
I remember going sledding off the roof when I was little, but my brothers threw all the snow they shoveled off the sidewalk in a small area to get it that high. I mean we were snowed in and could hardly open the door in the morning, but we've NEVER had That much snow!! Sometimes I wish we did, snow makes great insulation in the winter time (so we stay nice and cozy)!!
Best Christmas special ever, and the Christmas in the Little House pilot when the Ingalls lived in Kansas. And at the end that's WAY more snow than I remember, even when I used to live in New Brunswick. Everything was merry though.
@nikkidanielle1969 I agree, christmas these days means nothing without a laptop, cellphone, game console. In those days people were happy with each other and small gifts.
@nikkidanielle1969 Yeh, they are classics, even we've seen it so often, we never tire of the stories. My first memory on LHOTP was when I was about three. I remember Charles drivin his horsedrawn wagon, which had the cover on (-: The Chrostmas Stories are great too, but I also like the ones, where Nelly and her Family are in it. It just males it hilarious. (-:
As much as I’ve always loved this episode, I think it’s funny how no one seems concerned about not being able to travel, at least not by any way but foot. How long was everyone going to be stuck there?
Mary and Adam + Laura and Almanzo are so cute in this!

Geez. Mary's last episode and she is hardly in it. That doesn't make any sense.
