It was never about aim. There’s SOME aim involved but saying valorant is an aiming based game is just plain wrong. Only games that are actually about aim are games like apex, quake or overwatch, even call of duty. This ‘crosshair placement’ is literally just a set up for who has the faster reaction time. I’m in immo 2 and I still think this game isn’t really skillful. The reason people get 1 tapped just like in this video is because everything is too predictable. Once you learn how the people you’re going against play, it becomes so easy to just be a bot and wait for them to walk into your crosshair. Hold your crosshair for lurks. Hold your crosshair for wide swing… always the same shit every game. At least in games like apex or overwatch, the play style is never the same and anything can happen which is why it’s more skillful. I EVEN believe silver or gold in valorant is actually more harder than higher elo simply because the play style in lower elo is unpredictable. People are so lost in lower elos that they are doing shit that’s so random even the PLAYERS THEMSELVES don’t know what they’re doing. And that’s what makes the difference between a high elo player and a low elo player. High elo players actually have a functioning brain and can think for themselves and for their team. High elo players are smart. But because of this, the downside is that everything becomes predictable because we can read each other. We can read the enemy teams plays and try to counter them n shit. Everything is too obvious. Because of this, the only real deciding factor on who’s gonna win the match is which team has faster reaction times. IN LOW elo however, no one has a fucking brain so everyone is doing dumb shit. Then they get so lost when there’s pressure on them and the only aiming aspect they fail to succeed in is literally crosshair placement. Everyone’s got their damn crosshair at a toddler’s height and their reaction times are so negligible that they just end up dying before even realizing what just happened.
Yeh after hitting radiant the games very annoying, I think its a lot to do with map design more than anything it’s very hard to get isolated 1v1s without being at a disadvantage then you pair that with stupidly easy gunplay and the game becomes very difficult in ranked.
