As a man who has tended to multiple baby pigeon, many requiring hand feeding and much care I can absolutely agree with you. They are hideous until their feathers come in. Their beaks are far bigger than they appear they should be, they have scraggly and blotched dawn feathers, skin much like feathered chickens, bug googly eyes, huge ass feet, this list goes on, but just like this stunning little stud, once they are a few months old they are truly wonderful and quite beautiful.
