that thing imo has one of the best handling and suspension out of all hot hatch/crossovers. The way it took the curves so balanced and stable. No body roll and lean whatsoever even noticeable. The engine has a sweet tone inside and the gearbox is absolute smoothy. I was so skeptical of the 3 cylinder 1.5 cuz i own a 2.5 5 cyl ST, and expected a lawnmower from this 1.5 but it is a killer little engine. A proper car rigjt there. Good seeing ford keep their heritage unlike other brands like vw with the polo gti with dsg so disconnected off the road suspension too soft and vague steering. Even the manual feels disconnected. Ford got the recipe of handling, suspension and feel on point. Just love it. Only downside is the oil lubricated oil pump timing belt, it causes big issues in low km cars. Hopefully they fix that and if they do im coppin the fiesta st.

I'm not a Ford fan and I absolutely hate crossovers but I would love to have one of these things. Ford, please bring this to the US!
Let's all do our part: call or write Ford US Customer Relationship Center and tell them what their American customers want. If we all contact them, maybe they'll realize it's a profitable business decision to bring the Puma ST 6 spd manual transmission to the US/North American market.

Ford Puma ST, this is comedy gold.
I like a new Puma, but they are not selling ST in my country. Only 3 different ST-Line models. I have an old 1998 Ford Puma for a rally car btw.

Heel duidelijke 0/100, 100/200 tijden + de 1/4e mijl tijden waren ook wel leuk.
Wel grappig dat hij uiteindelijk niet sneller is dan een Opel Zafira A opc met het zelfde vermogen. Terwijl de Ford toch duidelijk sneller optrekt.
de Puma trekt dan ook sneller op, ik geloof en dikke seconde sneller dan de Zafira OPC, tuurlijk is dat ding van 2004, maar toen reed dat ook al als een boot.😂
For those who says is slow, the mk5 golf gti had a 2.0 turbo 200hp 280nm 0-100 kmh 7.2 sec, stage 1 on both and car is even better, they are not 300/400 hp cars,just a little sportier than normal ones.
mk5 gti is also like 15 yrs old lmao
They're not slow and have the perfect amount of torque for roads as well as handling brilliantly with this chassis alongside the Limited slip differential. I’ve driven quicker cars but not many are as engaging or as fun as this ST

The blank on the LHS of the rear bumper might suggest they’ll do an RS dual piped puma
It mainly suggests they're saving money by making only one type of bumper both for lhd and rhd markets. But yeah, the Hyundai Kona N definitely needs some competition.

The rev hang is always a lot on these 3cyl engines, such a shame as it sounds great.
Problem with rev hang is the tendency to momentarily stutter between gears on a manual.

after 4 months driving a puma st I can say that the Launch control isn't wirth it :p I do on the draggy with launch control best time of 6.99 seconds and without 6.73 seconds

I test drove the i20N and now have the Puma ST. They both pull very well, the i20 would beat it in a straight line but not by much.

I really like how the Fiesta looks, I like the Focus - I like basically all current Fords... but man, the Puma just doesn't do it for me. This thing looks squished imo

I read 'Ford Puma' and instantly thought of a small sports coupe...but then realised that the name has been stuck on another SUV, a baby Kuga, a Fiesta on growth hormones. Interesting engineered pops and bangs for the poseurs, but why not just have the Fiesta and save weight / money? I've loved the sound of a three-banger ever since the Daihatsu Charade GTti and my neighbour's 1999 Triumph Trident is aural sex on two wheels.

Short gears... there should be such ratio that on 2nd gear you have 100km/h... not on 3rd gear...

Great looking and sounds good to, lovely in green, not bad performance from a 1.5 turbo 3 cylinder engine, looks like a fun small SUV but big enough for small family too, I'd consider one of these even the 1.0 turbo one with 155hp would be enough , be great if ford made these full electric with a range of 250 to 300 miles👌stick a 150kwh battery and use a 75 to 80 kWh electric motor in one of these an it be super quick with a good range an even better than the Mach e 👍👌

Actually, we don't have a LOT of the European Fords. If I'm not mistaken, a popular car in the UK is the Ford Mondeo, and the Ford Ka. Of course, now we pretty much don't have _any_ Ford cars, except the Fusion and Mustang, the rest being all SUVs.
