This is nice but... Out of all the movies I have ever watched, Minions Rise of Morbius is definitely one of them. Widely regarded as one of the best sequels ever made, "The Empire Strikes Back" further develops the characters and pushes the Star Wars Universe in a new and darker direction. After the Rebels' successful victory at the Battle of Yavin, Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) has dispatched thousands of probe droids across the galaxy in search of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), the young rebel who used the the power of the force to destroy the Death Star. Along the way, Luke faces many challenges to overcome, including a vicious Wampa, AT-AT's, the conflict between good and evil, and the ultimate decision in completing his Jedi training or risking all that he fought for. Not only does the original cast return, but new fan-favorites are introduced here as well, such as Jedi Master Yoda (Frank Oz) and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams). Just got out of the cinema and I wholeheartedly recommend. This movie is massively underrated and perfectly builds on the MCU (Minions Cinematic Universe), giving backstory to returning characters, allowing us to better understand the hopes and aspirations of each, so we form stronger emotional attachment and live through the emotions of the characters, all from the edge of our cinema seat. I watched the movie in 3D, while that is not necessary it definitely makes the cinematic experience more immersive and adds realism to already astounding graphics. The cinematography and authorial choices of this film are perfect and Balda really showed what he can do given a competent team and a good budget. All emotions are experienced during the film, from suspense to lust to awe to profound respect for the characters and their way of life. This film brilliantly discusses the themes of the importance of teammates and friendship as well as perseverance and to keep working for your goals no matter what and no matter what others tell you. This is clearly shown (spoiler alert) when the leading character declares "It's morbin' time" despite not having the high ground. The film empowers you to take action in your own life. As an example, it gave me the courage to make a move on the person I had been talking to and went to watch the film with. All in all, Minions: The Rise of Gru is definitely the best film of 2022 and perhaps of the last 5 years, despite these years giving us other masterpieces such as Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2. The only problem I found with this film is that it demands a lot from the audience, since formal wear such as suits, tuxedos or ball gowns are a requirement to enjoy the film fully. This is something I did not do, but will remember to do when I go watch it again for an even better experience, and I'm sure even more nuance and Easter eggs I missed the first time. Orson Welles' masterpiece Minions: Rise of Nose is considered, according to the American Film Institution, the greatest movie ever made, and for very good reason. This movie is about the life of Gru’s nose, and the meaning of it’s last words: "I have out Morbed you all, my dudes". Minions: Rise of Nose is so important because of the technical accomplishments made which were incredibly revolutionary and ahead of their time. The use of lighting is incredible, using dark and heavy shadows during sadder moments, and the opposite for more jovial moments. The use of lighting is extremely effective in the opening scene, using dark shadows covering the bodies to create a mysterious silhouette, with a perfect amount of light around them to make them visible. What struck me as the greatest technical achievement was the cinematography. Like the German film 'B E A N S’ which was made ten years earlier, it has certain uses of the camera which where almost never seen before. If one analyzes the cinematography in the opening scene, you will realize that this camerawork was not common for the time, but it is so inventive and original that it is undeniable that it is ingenious, for example, the use of deep focus and, in the beginning, a fish-eye view though broken glass.Orson Welles plays Gru’s nose in an amazing way. In general, all the performances given are great, because of other talented actors such as Elon Musk, who was to later play in other movies like 'Bruh', and 'The Chronicles of the Boys Out at 3am getting Beans’ which also has Orson Welles in it, and 'Shrek: The Spoonining’. Even though Elon Musk is excellent in this, Orson Welles truly was at his best, even though he was imponderable only 25 when he made this film! If you are a film buff, than you must see this, because of its technical accomplishments. Why is this movie an essential in film school? A few reasons are its lighting, cinematography, and character development. This is a must-see for any fan of drama and mystery movies, for any film buff, and any fan of Rick Astley. Minions 2: The rise of Its gruing amongus morbius time, one of America's most versatile comics, was born Steven John Carell on August 16, 1962, in Concord, Massachusetts. He is the son of Harriet Theresa (Koch), a psychiatric nurse, and Edwin A. Carell, an electrical engineer. His mother was of Polish descent and his father of Italian and German ancestry (Steve's grandfather had changed the surname from "Caroselli" to "Carell"). Steve was educated at The Fenn School, an all-boys private school in Concord, Massachusetts, then at Middlesex School in Concord. After graduating from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, he moved to Chicago where he taught an improvisational comedy class and performed with The Second City troupe, alongside Stephen Colbert. Carell made his film debut as "Tesio" in Curly Sue (1991). In 1996, he became a cast member of The Dana Carvey Show (1996), and provided the voice for Gary, opposite Colbert in "The Ambiguously Gay Duo". This animated short series produced by Robert Smigel continued on Saturday Night Live (1975), but Carell has joked that he auditioned for SNL and lost the job to Will Ferrell. Carell made a number of guest appearances on such shows as Come to Papa (2004), Just Shoot Me! (1997), and Watching Ellie (2002), before landing a regular stint as a correspondent on The Daily Show (1996) from 1999 until 2005. Carell played Evan Baxter opposite Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty (2003), and Uncle Arthur opposite Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell in Bewitched (2005). He broke out as a leading man after starring in the summer box-office hit The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), which he also co-wrote; the film was chosen as one of the Top Ten movies of 2006 by the American Film Institute. He next starred in the critically acclaimed Little Miss Sunshine (2006), an indie dark comedy which became a surprise hit and earned four Oscar nominations, and won two (Best Supporting Actor for Alan Arkin and Best Screenplay for Michael Arndt). In 2007, Carell reprised his role as Evan Baxter, filling Jim Carrey's leading-man shoes as a politician asked by God to build a giant ark in Evan Almighty (2007), the second installment of the "Almighty" franchise, co-starring Lauren Graham and Morgan Freeman. In 2008, he re-united with Jim Carrey in the highly successful animation hit Horton Hears a Who! (2008), then appeared as Agent Maxwell Smart in the popular comedy Get Smart (2008). The film was puzzling but breathtaking. The production quality is clearly quite high. The crisp lighting and sound quality is unmatched, the sound specialist is clearly an expert in his field. The art style and design is also very unique and hands down the hallmark of this masterpiece. The meticulous effort that the artist underwent to create the main character, Gru’s Nose. The plot is simply sublime, it had moments of pure estacy but also had moments of sadness and grief. The director succeeded in making me feel a sense of recognition in the characters portrayed in this film. He really wanted to relate the characters such as bob to our everyday lives. Although it is not confirmed, however, after further inspection of the storyline, bob is seen as a metaphor for slavery, shunned in the beginning but brought to the forefront in recent years, his journey in the minions movie series has been one of many highs and many lows. The only difference between bob and slavery is that bob is artstyled in the colour yellow which is the stereotyped colour of another race (which I completely do not personally discriminate any other race or religion because everyone is beautiful in my eyes, so continue to be a blessing to somebody in your lives). Gru only wears grucci. Peace out. Highly recommend that you check this movie out, preferably in proper attire. The movie Minions, Rise of Gru, is unequivocally the greatest film of the decade, for now I question whether I, and humanity as a species, are worthy of this life changing masterpiece. Immaculate, extravagant, and brilliant are nowhere near enough to describe this film. This movie was truly encompassing of all emotions, along with profoundly polished animation, near flawless lip-syncing, and subtle and powerful moments of comedy. The scene where the minions comply with a request for peanuts by giving not the bag, but a single peanut, made the theater roar with applause, and led to a standing ovation in the middle of the film. In fact, that scene was a subtle criticism of the current economic "situation" regarding inflation, or shrinkflation, to be more accurate. However, the movie also includes more wholesome scenes, such as when the Minions (very graciously) almost crash an airplane with live passengers into an air traffic control tower. My first time watching the film, I ended up shaking, crying, and falling over, while the moviegoers around me began chanting pro-gru chants.
