As a person building a 27 T Touring, here’s how I’d make space in the phaeton. (Henry called them Tourings in the model T era and Phaetons for model A’S because it was fancier…) Ditch the model A seat springs and build new seats using modern foams. You can get the same comfort in thinner seats giving you more space. Just build the new foam sets in a manner that can reuse those sweet older seat covers.
The rear brake cylinders need to be flipped right side up and switched side to side. Theyll bleed properly and work just fine. Ive got a sport coupe here in the shop done exactly that way. Brakes work great.
For your safety move the rear bleeders to where they should be. If you are going to have your family ride in the car that would be the smart thing to do. Love the videos.
I don't know if the extra videos have helped your views and income..... But I look forward to the daily videos as I'm sure many others do.....plus your daily driver is what build That rocks....... Keep it up
First I would say that is not the OEM seat, second the seat back bolster was probably 4 or so inches higher and back was curved slightly to allow the it to slip over those clips and then be bolted at the bottom.
Gota love a banger... Downdraft intake and a high compression head would wake it up alot. Nice car man. I have always wanted a phaeton but my big ass probably needs to stay away. haha
@@RACGARAGE When they are hopped up they sell pretty good, stock the resale is slim for sure! My last banger coupe was 100 horse and put some v8 to shame... Alot of fun none the less. Dig it man.. Keep up the good work bro.
Great to have a phaeton! I have a suggestion for your long legs. Lengthen the car a bit 3-4 “, would that be enough leg room? Make it a dual cowl phaeton 😊
That banger is so quiet (and slow)... Gotta dig how the steering wheel is about 2" shorter than the top of the windshield... PS - you can get 5 acres with a house for $500k in Taxachussettes?!? That must be like 50 miles from the next building...
@@RACGARAGE Even in CT it must be right at the north border as far away from the water as possible. More power to him if he finds 5 acres with a house he can afford, that's living the dream (once the big shop is built)...

yeah the provlem is that they arent old seat covers. its brand new upholstery haha
@@RACGARAGE Still if it’s installed with hog rings you should be able to reuse it.

on those rear bleeders why not put the left on the right and the right on the left that may solve your bleeder problem
i plan on it just didnt have time, ill do it when i do the rear shocks

haha that would be wacky!
@@RACGARAGE after posting that I discovered Edsel Fords personal car was a Model A (Mercury) dual cowl phaeton
i dunno about skirts but bobbing the rear fenders might look good. i do dig that tub though!
what's the name of that intro song?
thanks, no idea on song name my buddy made the intro
Man the only way to make them seats work is to set him on the floor totally. Incorporate a cushion into the body and get rid of the 3 inch back
yeah im thinking about getting rid of the seat riser or shortening it up alot

The backing plates and wheel cylinders look to be on backwards
they are, its on my to do list to fix
👍🏻🍺
Jeez for sure no belly room.
no belly room at all!
Look for a old farm house with a big shop on the edge of town
ON THIS ONE YOU "YOU KNOW" ONCE TOO MUCH FOR ME
If it was me I would get 20ft container for out front on your fence side.
Your natural resources would be out of everyone's view then.
Any taller then 5 9 for those cars , it gets tight . Maybe you can customize the seat a little better .

they bled fine but yeah i need to flip them side to side
