No there is no piston to valve clearance issues with this cam at 40off I believe the next cam size up the 1288 will require fly cutting. Some have got away without but there’s no point going bigger without more compression .
@@REDVEV8 I felt it lacked bottom end power But pulled like a freight train up high. I changed the diff ratio to 3.9 much better. With the manual you can feel it buck a bit at light loads but it’s not bad. The VE/VF rear end really puts the power down without much wheel spin. If you have an auto I would recommend a 2800-3000 stall converter or 3:9 4.11 diff with a manual.
