Sun Moon... be proud, that is simply due to mutual respect. I, as a young Marine had the privilege of serving along side of a ROK Marine in the very early days of the Vietnam war. Dallin Hutch no it's korea the MEF or marine expeditionary force or at least that detachment is stationed out of okinawa japan they probably flew out to korea for a training or something
I will never not watch this and be filled with admiration and pride! Pride for the US Marines, and admiration for the Koreans who cheered louder for their competition than they did themselves! Love this video.
Great to see the US Marine Corps band in my birth country of South Korea. Clearly the US Marines won this drum battle and they were so diplomatic to call it a tie. As a Korean American, I am continually grateful to all US service men and women, defending South Korea today. America made such a tremendous sacrifice of lives to save South Korea from communism during the Korean War and US military continues to stand and defend South Korea to the present day. May God bless and protect the men and women of our US military for being the greatest defenders of freedom.
I love that the ROK and the USA are friends. I used to clean house for a widow who's husband fought in the Korean War and was stationed there afterwards, "he loved the people" she would always tell me. I share his sentiment as you can probably tell from my picture lol.

The mission of the Marine Corps Drum and bugle corps is to locate, close with and destroy the other band by BDE, and to repel the other bands assault by straight fire beats.

This was good exchange between both bands. I've worked and trained with along side ROK Marines. They're ust as tough and full of the same fighting sprit as US Marines.

As a korean, its shame that this competition ended as a tie. Marines obviously won.

I loved the way them drum rolls and beats sounded like bullets flying...Once a Marine, always a Marine!👍🇺🇸
If only all conflicts could be settled with drumlines.
@@Shutterbun4 Well we look at the Napoleonic wars, they had fifers, bugles, drumlines galore!
Great. Now I have to go run 3 miles...

The koreans are so humble x)
That’s the Japanese
They are in Okinawa Japan.
Player 1 is right, read the description. The Marines are stationed in Okinawa but are playing against the South Korean Army band members
Yup, as a Korean I understand the language they are speaking in the video..

The marines one, the only reason why they deemed it a tie was to avoid conflict xP
what conflict we are allies with them
Devildog MARSOC He means a little bit of butt-hurt from the losers. He doesn’t mean all-out warfare lmao

Dam them Marines killed it!! Think they won hands down!!
Saw your Huskers picture. Just want to say hello from Omaha....

Love how they hyped each other up! Of all the drum battle videos, I come back to watch this once in a while just for that

The Marines started playing the other kids drums
Almost as good as Top Secret! Almost.
@@nelsonturner501 Top Secret is NEXT level from this, honestly. But the camaraderie in this is great to watch.

If only all battles could be decided this way!
My son's a Marine, was in Okinawa for 3 years. I loved seeing this.
That was badass, use to be in the drum line in school. Great sportsmanship from everyone!
This is how war SHOULD be fought. jk
Idc if a line of marines has m4a1’s, teddy bears or drums in hand..
A line of marines approaching you is Always intimidating lol
I just love this! Female navy veteran here.....they both did sound amazing
Marines, winning battles everywhere!
There's just nothing like a good drum line!

Dr. Lee from the film Drumline:
"One Band....One Sound..."
That was not a tie! They just didn’t want the Koreans to go nuts😂
The reason I'm wanting to join the marine corps I'd die for my brothers
Fuck yea. Go USA
Commendable courage. But it's preferable to make the enemy die for his brothers.
Being a U.S.N seaman vet. I have a brother whom was with the U.S.Marines in Korea, with the 1st marine division

The spirit of camaraderie. All in good fun.

Well done Marines. It was kind that the Koreans lent them a drum though. Bonus point?
