- The Battle of Lutterberg unfolded on 10 October 1758 amidst the Seven Years' War. In this clash, a formidable French force of 42,000, led by Charles, Prince of Soubise, confronted a smaller Anglo-German army commanded by General Christoph Ludwig von Oberg. After a chase through the hills and meadows, the armies clashed nearby the village of Lutterberg.

Another great video! Since you asked, how about a series on the French Revolutionary War battles (1792-1801) where Napoleon is NOT present. A lot of interesting stuff there, with accessible information.
Would be lovely to see the Western front of the seven years war done fully, with battles like Bergen, Minden Warberg etc all being interesting.
Amazing as usual. This, and Austro-Prussian, are my favorite historical periods, and you narrate them amazingly well. Your whole work is impressive, but I think you really shine on the 18th-19th centuries :)
I absolutely agree. Magnificent work/research/documentaries.
This has become one of the best history-themed channels on RUclips.
Thank you!
Great video HOH as always!
Glad you enjoyed!
Great video, HoH!
If you're taking suggestions, I'd recommend the battle of Otumba between the aztec empire and the spanish and tlaxcalans, afaik no one has covered it yet despite it being super important since it led to the siege of tenochtititlan
One of your best videos yet. Loved it.
Great job. Hope to see more on the western front of the 7 years war.
Excellent video. The prussian wars are definitely your best series
Glad you think so!
HoH is the best then theres all the rest. This is a interesting time in European history.
Thanks for the kind words!
It was an informative and wonderful historical coverage video of that battle( Lutterberg) between Prussians and French armies in 1758 AD ...where French allies recorded victory on Prussian allies, thank you respectful ( House of History) channel for sharing
Great work !
Thanks for another good one
Its always great to recieve a video of yours man! Huge fan of your channel and what you do! Could you please do the battle of bosworth field?🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Great suggestion!
@@HoH thanks
Fantastic video again!
Great video!
Amazing work like always. Keep it up =)
Consider covering the English Civil War (yes technically 3 different wars) and Oliver Cromwell and the New Model Army that has influence on creation of standing armies.
I've been looking into it! Do you recommend any books?
Very interesting - thank you.
I am an Indian🇮🇳 and have been watching your channel since two years, I r🙏🙏🙏equest you to make a video on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.👌👌👌🙏🙏
Thanks for the idea!
Good stuff!
Excellent work here Gentlemen
How do you make these videos so fast because they are very high quality
I work every day 😄
Watched a lot of your videos, I love the blend of music, visuals, and your commentary. There’s a song track I particularly like that you seem to use a lot, in this one it starts a couple seconds after your intro, could you tell me the name? For the life me I cannot find it.
Thank you for the kind words! I am fairly sure that's Peacekeepers - Dream Cave open.spotify.com/track/6SNYRATG9veMrmEqDBVeyD?si=d1e7a474c0ad441f
I find this Video realy cool, because i live very near the battlefield. I live in Hann. Münden
Can't be a coincidence Kings and Generals also covering a battle of the Seven Years War...
I'd like to see a video on Minden
At first I didn't understand why Oberg positioned so many troops to his left flank. But quickly understood when I saw the enemy's deployment. Maybe this should be called the battle of the flank. lol
Most times unless I know the battle I'm unsure who will win this was always going to be a French victory, I just felt it from the beginning the Hanoverians were too outnumbered.
Considering the difference in number of troops, the outcome was already decided before the battle began.
-.- It hurts my local patriotic pride - Krefeld is on the western side of the Rhine ! And: You are so good in so many pronunciation of difficult place names, just to butcher a hand full totally. Most other channels do not even care to try this . keep getting better !
hello when you will continue your austro - prussain war series?
I am working on Koniggratz, but it requires a lot of research & planning!
Not meaning to be a whining pain in the neck but I do indeed hope you will finish the Austro Prussian war (inc; Königgrätz) and the saga of Bismark's incalcuable influence on German and European politics. Love ALL of your work anyway btw. No duds yet!
Of course!
No more shouting man thumbnail. Since no one cares about it except me i consider it a plus. The thumbnail looks cleaner and less memeable. Just an educational historical video
Your audio voice could be a little louder.
"Yeah, they ran through the briers and they ran through the brambles
And they ran through the bushes where a rabbit couldn't go..."
Not even General "TopG" could stop such a overwhelming force.
Grossjägerdorf was more a draw, followed by a russian Retreat. Though maybe politically motivated because Elisabeth petrovna was ill .
👍👍👍
"De Broglie" s pronounced "de Breuil" (for next time :-) otherwise amazing video
I'm guessing this battle had bigger implications on this war
Prefer this over kings and generals
Psychopaths fighting psychopaths , the ordinary people paying the price.
Still the 7 years war??? That should be done by know! You did a terrific job with that series, but now, move on! Different wars and subjects from now on!
Check out my most recent videos. The Seven Years' War is still the most requested series, despite verging into different territory often. I think the last video on this war was 4+ months ago?
5 months, even.
