I really enjoy Sunburn, and this is just more fuel lmao. But in all seriousness, the parallels of Aubrey and Sunny make them an even better kind of possible couple. For anyone who hasn't finished Omori yet, don't read further, because I'll be going over some spoilers. The amount of parallels between the two is insane to me lmao. Like, for starters, both of them had their dad leave to go get milk, and their moms aren't really present.....Ever. They're both in the earliest stages of grief, Sunny being in denial, and Aubrey being in anger, the first two stages. They both acted on impulse and instinct, anger and sadness blinding them, making Aubrey push Basil into the lake, almost killing him. The only reason he didn't die is because Hero was there to save him from drowning. Sunny wasn't so lucky, due to Mari dying from blunt force to the head, instantly killing her. If someone else was there other than Basil (A traumatized 12 year old is not much help), someone could've caught Mari and she could survive. That's why I feel like Aubrey would be really angry about Sunny killing Mari, but eventually she'd realize that she almost did the exact same thing. Aubrey almost accidentally killed Basil and was forgiven almost immediately. Sunny accidentally killed Mari and then the whole omori cast was like >:0 TL;DR Sunny and Aubrey have so many parallels that are difficult to fully know without thinking about it.
