Tony was a good man. I was privileged to call him a good friend. We spent numerous hours in his office listening to the stories he told. He was filled with knowledge and was always happy to share his time and tales when we stopped in for a visit. R.I.P. Old Dog, you will be greatly missed.
Tony was my uncle. His passing was such a shock to our family. Wish I had spent more time with him. He was a very talented knife maker. I loved him with all my heart. He is with his son, daughter, mom and dad (my grandma and grandpa Bose), now. RIP. Miss you all. ♥️
What a fantastic opportunity to learn straight from a Master his process of how he does things; that is incredibly generous of Mr. Bose. Many 'Makers' of lesser renown would just as soon tell you to take a hike than to give out any useful information....Like many men I've carried a pocket knife from the time I was able to open the blade, but it's only been the last 10yrs or so that I began collecting knives. Sadly to say I don't own a 'hand made' Tony Bose knife, but I do own a couple of Bose inspired Case knives....My wife once asked me why I bought so many knives since I couldn't possibly use them all. Well I asked her why she bought so many shoes, as she couldn't possibly wear them all; she doesn't comment on my knives anymore!!
I'm a collector that literally knows nothing about heat treating and a lot less about the history of knives but really admire the quality of a good, well-built classic knife, I currently have a Tony Bose knife and like to add a couple more in the near future
That is nice that he has a shop where it is easy to get from his living area to it quickly. He is a legend in the knife making community and I learned about him through the Ka-bar community site.
Damn...I'm jealous. That would be so cool to be at Tony's shop. By far the best video of Tony talking knives that I've seen. Thanks, for making traditional knife videos.
TheApostleP he lives in Indiana and I live in NC but I sure do spend as much time with Him as I can when I visit. He gives me a couple knives every time I go and we smoke cigars and talk when we can. It sure is fun.

Thank you so much for these videos. We (the knife community and his family) lost Tony today. These helped me personally. Be blessed Rob.
Rest easy and peacefully Tony Bose, you’re an absolute legend.

Absolutely fascinating video. RIP Tony Bose.
I had the privilege of meeting Mr Bose at my very first Case event. Quite an honor to say the least. Sad to hear of his passing.

Good stuff Rob. This man's knives, and more importantly, his influence will be around long after we're all gone. Thanks for sharing!
