Oh this game IS awesome I've beaten it a number of times but I STILL feel Castlevania 4 is seriously underrated its also VERY difficult to beat one of the toughest video games I've ever beaten I can't even tell you how many times I lost just even GETTING to this point never mind the bosses themselves.
@@Nathan-rb3qp At least the game was way more forgiving, since when you reach Death you always respawn before Death, you don't have to go through the entire level again
This was always (and still is) my favorite part of the game. I love how in the background the sun is nearly coming up, but you have to fight Dracula's deadliest servants first. There's definitely a sense of climactic urgency. Plus the bosses are so awesome. Death's entrance always gave me the chills.
It's not that much of an exaggeration. Like many game covers and movie posters, it combines various set pieces and selling points from the game/movie to let the audience know exactly what they're in for. All that stuff on the cover does happen in the game in some shape or form, so calling it an exaggeration is pushing it.
death was easy here :/ stay in the left corner, whip when he gets near, hold the attack button and use the limp whip to shield from scythes. the hardest part was finishing, because i didn't wanna stop hearing the song. lol
@@silviatoledo8330 In my opinion Slogra is way harder than Death. Slogra's lunges are nearly impossible to avoid, unless you immediately start moving after hitting him, and that doesn't guarantee that you're safe. His first phase is fine though as long as you move away after hitting him and crouch before he comes down. When fighting Death, you can just stay in the left corner and hold UP+Y, to block all the small scythes that he throws at you
@Vyrisus I have never once looked forward to Slogra. Ever. The fact that you need to be crouched otherwise he sometimes hits you with his lance out immediately is infuriating and that's not even factoring the absurd invul frames he gets during the 2nd phase, which can mean death if he immediately lunges upon landing.

The trick to fighting Slogra is to crouch as he lands during his first phase to avoid the spear. You're going to want to stick to the edges of the screen during the second phase to have as much distance between you and him as possible due to his unpredictable dash. Make sure to jump after he lands during the second phase in case he decides to dash.
You knew it was about to get real when 1st heard this song. All the other bosses were mere child's play. Dracula wouldn't put these guys in front of him for no reason.
I've found a way to beat Slogra without relying on randomness. Do you know that his beak & projectile attacks are timed , and that the timer doesn't stop when you hit him and he goes up? So just wait for him to beak you and attack.. then when he comes down, run from him and wait for his attack again and strike him after that. That way he'll never land and attack faster than you can get away :D
I have no problem with slogra, there's a simple pattern, just keep on the pillars, hit him, wait in the middle, go to the other pillar. That's the pattern I follow and I usually make it out only hit once.
