I recently dropped almost 80 pounds so fitting on rides is probably the biggest thing Im looking forward to doing again. I 100% understand the stress of not fitting. This is a good video for people to watch in advance. You are doing a great service for a whole lot of people!
you honestly have such a contagious personality! I can't say your videos would be of much assistance to me, but I honestly love watching them just because you seem so friendly and happy 😄
This has made me feel a lot better about trying these rides. I literally only rode 2 rides last time afraid of rejection. I’m in the process of loosing the weight but this made me smile! Thank you!
I really wish I’d found your channel and seen this video about Dollywood before I went there yesterday. But I’m only about 4 hours from Dollywood so I plan to go back in the somewhat near future. Thank you for taking the time to fat test as many rides as you could. This is very helpful for me for my next adventure there with my daughter.
I'm 6'3 about 310lb, and I fit in every roller coaster yesterday except the Bear one (mostly my legs were too long for that weird enclosure). Lightning Rod required an extra push or two from an attendant... haha. I felt a bit iffy on a couple of the test seats, but i made them all work.
Looks like the park is more accommodating then I thought it was going to be… Thank you for your videos. I appreciate what you do for us plus size riders.
Had to wear light shorts instead of jeans but I got my 42-inch waist onto Lightning Rod. Still got work to do to get on Mine Train. Still, Dollywood is a GREAT park for the fluffy coasters among us.
I am 5’11 275 and got to ride all the coasters. I did ride every one as you can see in my trip Vlog.I do not cover fast tested travel. I just Vlog my rollercoaster experiences. The only 2 that are close calls are lightning Rod and mystery mine. Mystery Mine I’m not sure was my weight more had to do with my shoulders which are broad. Lightning Rod my issue is the short seat belts and not the restraint itself. For whatever reason in row 5 I had a little bit more length than the other rows which made life way easier, but I think this is just a fluke and not intentional. I’m not sure I would be happy if I weighed anymore than I do. So I really got to focus on weight as these things are important to me. I’d like to give everyone encouragement to lose weight if they can and accomplish their goals!
I went to cedar point when I was 160 lbs. I am very short but also large chested and I could barely fit into a lot of the rides that have an overhead thing that comes down. It’s time for places to be more inclusive like Dollywood! Dolly is my favorite human on earth also! Great video! ❤
The thing about dollywood is that you don't even have to fit on anything.. its such a beautiful park with a lot of amazing shows. My mom loved just driving the scooter we rented there and watched all the shows. But yes lots of decent sized rides as well.
You're my hero for this! I see the video was uploaded 4/22. Curious when you went to the park? Right around then? Planning on attending same time 2025.
We are planning a trip in September and I’m planning to try to ride some of the rides. As a bigger guy I’m hoping I fit. BUT seeing them I have a good feeling about a LOT of them. I just lost 65 LBs and roller coasters are the first thing I’m ready for!!!
Me and my wife went to dolly wood in the fall, we are both plus sized folks. I am about 6' 4 and the biggest thing for me was the length of my legs. I didnt get to ride firechaser cause my knees were shoved into the test seat all the way.
Great video. My issue is height. I’m 6’8” tall legged and short waist. When I sit down, I can appear to be the same height as someone much shorter than me. It also depends on where you carry the weight on your body. Some people carry their belly weight differently. Some have a lot of lower belly fat and some carry higher. I recently lost 60lbs so I’ll have to see how I do on rides I couldn’t ride before.
Thank you so much for making this video. I visited Dollywood a few weeks ago and watched all of your Dollywood videos beforehand to really be prepared. What you're doing is very helpful to a lot of people! Thank you again.
Although I’m not a large rider, (and I’ve never been to the park) I’m glad rides like Tennessee Tornado’s shoulder restraints don’t have to come down to far so larger guests can enjoy it too.
I really appreciate you showing more rides Im coming may 11 and I always wanted to know what other rides they had cause youtubers only show their faves
@@opticbigevil7828easier said than done, no reason to fat shame. Fat people know they’re fat that’s why we are on this channel watching these videos, no reason to get on here and leave smart remarks.
Thank you for this! I know a lot of appreciate it. Always wanted to go to Dollywood but was worried about spending the money on something I won't get to get to enjoy fully. I'm fairly squishy 😅 after my weight loss surgery but I'm thinking my big hips may be a problem lol.
I gotta imagine that when you said “oh hell no” you were hoping you didn’t fit lol. And from your expression on the ride cam, yea looks like it was a wild one for ya, but hey you made it on a wilder ride than the ones I’ve seen you fit in so congrats there. Call that little wins if you’re on a weight loss journey.
Thank you watching it. Summer 2005 Dollywood Park fit me sit any rides. But I not like wooden coaster sit to little not fit me. Dizzy Disk fit me sit lock back seat.
Thank you so much for this!! I wanted to go but was afraid I wouldn’t be able to ride anything. This helps me feel better about what to try and what to avoid!
I miss Holiday World, used to live 3 hours from there. Such a good value, now I feel ripped off when I go anywhere else. For around $65 you get access to the theme park AND water park when in season. Plus included in that price is free parking, free soft drinks all day and free sunscreen! The water park is very plus sized friendly as many of the rides are on tubes, the theme park section has many of the same carnival style rides featured in the video like scrambler and the flying hawk one.
First video I’ve seen of yours. Thank you! As a chunky girl, I love that you’re testing things. I hate that it can be so humiliating to try to go on a ride and you just don’t fit…. ❤
I’m sorry to ask but would you be able to give your measurements please? You might have stated in the video and I just over looked it! Me and my husband are both plus size and planning on attending Dollywood next month we appreciate the video 😊
