Really nice work guys! But two things though: 1. That quint player needs to close his legs and put them together, he makes the drumline look sloppy, 2. I hate how the snares are tuned. Maybe try Kevlar heads that are tuned higher for a crisper and cleaner sound. But other than that, good job!
I agree! I've been tellin these cats that for years. The snare tuning reminds me of a SWAC line....which I hate. I know you guys have some good material, but it's clouded by the tuning. The basses and quints sound loose as well. Good cadences though.
they carry alot more and tbh no need for higher tunning to "be clean " they are clean , i hate how everyone loves a high tuned sound but fail to realize how far that sound carries and how clear it is compared to higher tuning .
just my opinion: playing with a full band the snares sound good, but playing a cadence they don't have a snare sound that mixes well. AND the snares should put two stripes of colored tape on their sticks because of the white uniform area in front you can't see the sticks and that takes away from the snare line as well. little things like that makes a huge difference
What's sad, is that the quint player in the middle, doesn't look like a freshman so he should know better. A couple of sectionals would straighten his ass out.lol
I like that especially the last cadence. I hope to join yall in fall 14 playing tenor drum or cymbals. Keep up the good work.
