I just bought the Farberware couple days ago and haven't used it yet but the Farberware has 20bars of pressure where the cheaper machines have around 5-10bars. But just from the research i did the Farberware meets the requirements at the best price. Got mine at Walmart and i went ahead and bought the $7 extended warranty
Awesome video! But ⚠️ warning ⚠️ for anyone looking at the Mr. Coffee! I bought one and when I ran some water through it to clean it out before using it, metal flakes came out with the water! Idk why but I looked it up and some other people had the same issue. Apparently the metal peice where you pour your water into has metal flakes as well. Obviously metal is not good to consume so I returned it lol. Now I've been looking at the Farberware one and these videos have helped me in making the decision.
You should run lots of cycles at first, and don't be surprised if you find some other minerals later, it builds up the minerals in the water rater easily, but it's mostly magnesium and iron from the water vaporizing with usage,
@@hellsing0999999999 I tried running a lot of cycles but it still poured out metal. I looked it up and it seems to be an issue with the Mr. Coffee model. When you look at where you pour the water, there is a metal cross (idk the proper name of it) and it has loose metal flakes that come off of it. So my guess is when you pour the water, it takes the flakes with it into the dispenser. Most likeley due to cheap materals. That is not good. I got the Farberware brand and I am having an issue with the water container leaking but that might be a defect with mine as I have not found people complaining about it. However, that brand is not dispensing metal.
Also just a heads up, you shouldn't really tamp the coffee on the Mr. Cofee, it doesn't produce enough pressure to pass through the coffee as an espresso machine, it's more like a Moka Pot, you just need to tamp the coffee really lightly, otherwise, you will end up with a burned shot of coffee! You should try the Mr. Coffee milk frother though, it's extremely good! Just amazing for producing good quality steamed milk!
First off, coffee is a bitter drink. Espresso is always bitter or it's not espresso. Always amazed by ppl who say it's bitter.....duh. On product quality- .My brother in law has a $2500 espresso machine and the Farber is just as good. Go figure that one out
No, good coffee and espresso should not taste bitter or sour. If the taste is sour, it indicates underextraction, while bitterness suggests overextraction. Additionally, it's important to note that your brother's 2500-dollar espresso machine is not equal in quality to this 80-dollar one. I encourage you to educate yourself before making stupid comments online.
Very useful and helpful! Thanks guys! I'll go with the Farberware.
Great video! I was just looking at both of these and wondering which one. Thanks!
Thank you... so, which one did you choose?
@@CarsandEspresso i got the farberware one can’t wait to try it out!
@@knextdoorrr_ Good choice 👌

bars are marketing. the right pressure for espresso is 6 - 9 and any machine that says it can do more is just a gimmick.
@@clashwithkeen Not really as if a machine is rated for higher than that, the motor does take less ware as one that is strictly rated for 6-9.

@@RiverRebel They definitely need better Quality Control! MIne has the same cross you mentioned but it's smooth.
@@hellsing0999999999 They really do. I guess I also have bad luck with espresso machines lol 😆. But I'm glad to hear yours is working well!
Wow! This is pretty much you testing my machine (Mr. Coffee) against the one I was looking to buy! Amazing my friend!

Can you measure the portafilter diameter? I can't find any info about it online.
I believe it's 51mm.... that is the one I bought
Can you use the frother and make a latte with the farberware. I need to see that before I run out and buy it. 🤣
I was never good at that - lol... but I tried... See toward the end... ruclips.net/video/h8JkT301rD0/видео.html
