Alegria has always been the one production that feels close to that traditional Big Top circus feel. Will always be one of, if not, my favourite. Just recently saw Crystal in New Zealand and was amazed by how much Cirque could still follow their production standards; reveal, clown relief, juggling, aerial, and even convert acrobatics like Speed Track (in Alegria) to Extreme Skating. Cirque du Soleil will forever be ingrained in my heart and part of my personality that I hope my child finds the same allure, wonder, and passion for as I did

This feels a totally different show than the original Alegria. The original had such a unique look, feel and charm to it that it actually felt being on a different world. Franco Dragone's original Alegria show was truly a work of art and Cirque's most successful show and should have had never being altered like this new show. Any person that vaguely knows about Cirque Du Soleil would mention the original Alegria, not this revamp. Just a cash grab show by the new corporate owners of Cirque Du soleil. I guess everything good comes to an end eventually, like the old magical Cirque Du Soleil.
I agree, it’s different. And people who’ve seen the Original one will always compare with the new one. On the other hand… artists, cast and crew are having the work again. And some people were working on old Alegria but they’re still happy to be part of Alegria (doesn’t matter which one) 😊 And they still bring the joy and magic 🎪 Merry Christmas 🎄

And it’s not the same 😊 It can be good or bad - but not the same. Same here… they’ve tried to give another fresh breath of one of the iconic and classic show. But adding music, costume and act in a new (modern) arrangement 🎪
