Yeah, it's crazy how many shows Nick Jr. has treated poorly since the mid-2010s. I feel especially bad for how Thomas & Friends was treated, especially since they initially treated it nicely (compared to how PBS Kids was treating it in its last few years on there) until it suddenly got shunted near-exclusively to the channel, and then worse, to overnights (except for premieres) in the summer of 2019. It's no wonder Mattel moved Thomas to Netflix in March 2020. This makes me glad that Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go skipped Nick Jr. in favor of Cartoonito and Netflix, because I have no doubt that Nick Jr. would've treated it poorly compared to PAW Patrol.
Even Peter Rabbit got burned off!! This PAW Patrol Takeover by Nick Jr should stop!! I think, this Miraculous Ladybug-PAW Patrol Duopoly should stop immediately!! Or else, No other animated series is Safe from cancelation!!
Paw patrol needs to share the spotlight, their own friends who have shows of their own aren't getting good treatment and because of paw patrol themselves, the other Nick Jr shows are being burned off
In 2013 disney junior got rid of shows like, Johnny and the sprites, Timon and pumbaa, Lilo and stich (The series), Koala Brothers, Stanley, 101 Dalmatians, And The Especially got rid of Jungle cubs.
Rubble & Crew will likely be the next Nick Jr. burnoff as Nick has treated the show poorly - still no date on a Season 2 and they still haven't even finished Season 1, and weak toy sales at Christmas likely may doom this series, while the main PAW Patrol series goes on and on with no end in sight.
I think I have the real reason why Lalaloopsy got burned off, MGA Entertainment failed to pay $3.5 million for the Nick Jr. series to Viacom in 2015, not because of PAW Patrol taking up the spotlight 😀
Nella The Princess Knight, Butterbean's Cafe and Sunny Day aren't lost media - they're on Paramount+ Canada as that service is on separate deals - USA Paramount+ is pretty bad. Is it a wonder they're getting crushed by Disney+, Amazon and Netflix?
I agree. Have a Nickrewind for Nick Jr. and move Team Umizoomi to there because it came out during the classic times Guarenteed shows besides TUZ include Backyardigans, Wonder Pets, Gullah Gullah Island, Eureeka, Allegra, Fresh Beats, Kai Lan, Classic Blue’s Clues, Oswald, Jack’s Big Music Show, and (sighs in pain) Dora Seasons 1-6. Maybe manage to regain the rights to LazyTown, Miss Spider, Maggie, Franklin, and Little Bear for the block, but no Little Bill because of The Cosby Scandal, no Littleburg or Curious Buddies because of their short times, and no Yo Gabba Gabba, Wow Wow Wubbzy, Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, and Olivia because of rights issues
Dude there's one thing that you also Miss after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle it was also Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness also are as well and I don't know why and also disappointing news that season 1 was only on Paramount plus but the rest of the season just got remove also some of the Nickelodeon shows also when on Nick Junior shows I'm actually surprised myself some of the Nickelodeon shows were tvy7fv and I never expected that the air for the first time ever wow going down the hills for the network
This is 1 of the main reasons why I want PAW Patrol to go away and why I do what I do. There are shows much more deserving of the Flagship Title than 1 that isn’t even theirs. It’s like spoiling your friend’s kid over your own kid.
Olivia was an acquired program (JUST LIKE PAW PATROL), meaning it would be free to continue without Nick (it wasn’t made by any of Nick’s studios, it was made by Chorion and is currently owned by Universal). 1 of the few deals of screwing an acquired program was Thomas because it contributed to the bad accessibility leading to the franchise’s downfall.
Mattel made the contract and Nick fumbled it. Both are to blame. If Mattel just renewed the contract with PBS the original series would still be running and wouldn’t be the generic toyetic mess it is now.
Not only that it sucks, but it traces back to the nicktoons death treatment, where Nickelodeon makes shows in order to compete with SpongeBob and they flopped miserably. Now the history repeats but now on Nickelodeon's preschool shows.
Some disney junior shows like Ella The elephant did get burned off to 3AM In The morning.
