- Prince Harry has arrived at Clarence House to see his father - a day after it was revealed that the King has been diagnosed with a form of cancer.
The Duke of Sussex travelled from California, where he has lived since 2020, to London after the monarch personally called both Harry and the Prince of Wales to share news of his health.
The King has started treatment for cancer, which was discovered while he was undergoing a prostate procedure - although Buckingham Palace has said he does not have prostate cancer.

Fantastic to hear Prince Harry arrived safely to see his dad! After the sad blow of finding out his dad has cancer! Cancer is a devastating diagnosis, I hope that King Charles has a full recovery.

Seeing my dad getting the same diagnosis was horrible, a cruel, nasty disease. As for Harry, my cynical self already wonders how will he use it for PR.

I have a feeling, a lot more to this than is not being reported. E.G potentially this is not treatable and potentially given a life span of weeks, months or even a year to live.
It’s not being reported because the exact details are a private matter. If they wanted to cover up the fact that the King has cancer they just wouldn’t have told us at all.

I just don't care, really... Yes I am English, can trace my family back to the 1500,s.. But am definitely not a royalist. Bet he doesn't have to wait in line for his treatment as many of us do, that's if we can actually get an appointment.
My husband has waited 12 weeks to get his scan result only to be told he has something in his bladder now waiting to see a urologist but he is only one of many waiting weeks for test results then treatment.

The palace announced that Charles had personally notified his sons and siblings of his diagnosis and that Harry would be coming to see his father. It's not like Charles couldn't have refused to see Harry if that had been his choice, so I'm guessing he was okay with it. Personally, I'm fine with not knowing what their conversation was that led to the visit or what they said once they met. I'm also fine not knowing what kind of cancer Charles has, as he has the right to his privacy with regard to such matters, too. I would hope he'd be more candid with family members if it's a potential hereditary issue of which they're unaware, but again, it's his health and his choice.
