Dress code of Guruvayoor temple is white dhoti, no shirt, inside the inner premises of temple. Even for PM and commando the rule is same... Guruvayoorappan ( infant form of Krishna) is a temple of miracles.. Those who visit there will some how experience miracle in their life...place of high positivity

Male devotees are not not allowed to wear shirts, T-shirt pants trousers etc. inside the temples in Kerala
There are exceptions in Few temple's like, Shiva Temples and Ayyapa Temples.
In Hindusam, Lord Vishnu and Lord Krishna along with the All time Superior God Bramha are considered as the the most superior god of all time. So as Humans, male devotees would remove their shirt while going inside the temple, to show the respect towards the god and towards the idol of the god. It's the rule of Guruvayoor and any other Krishna temples in kerala.
And as I told there are exceptional cases, as per the history of Kerala Temples, For some temples (like Shiva) we would wear shirt inside but for some other temple of Lord Shiva we would not, it's because of the history of the temple.
Similarly, you can see the Namboothiri or Brahmin who does Pooja and Karma to the god also won't wear a shirt because it's respect.
That's the same thing we too follow in kerala.
You have stated that SriKrishna and SriVishnu are considered as the highest in Hinduism which is counterfactual. It is only in the Vaishnava Sect. There are many more sects too, like Shakta, Shaiva, Saura, Ganapatya etc, all these have many sub-sects amongst them too.

@@Alchemy12@Alchemy12 Hindus do not wear Shirts in any temples irrespective of Krishna, Shiva, Vishnu, Ayyappa or any deities. And in Hinduism there is no superior deities. Every deity is connected various different aspects of Dharma, so we cannot compare. And the Brahmam is the Ultimate Reality.
Vishnu is Sthithi, not a human.
Maheswara aka Shiva is first eeswara.
Krishna is a eewara from Dvapara yuga who removes DharmaSankata.
Ayyappa is eeswara from Kaliyuga who is a Dharma Sasta(dharma teacher).
Devotees including Tantri, do not wear shirt because we believes it blocks the chakras to get energized. Its not only just respect. And nothing related to the history of just Kerala.
Because they can't wear anything else in Guruvayoor Temple .

And as per the kerala temple rules and the oldest history of the temple, we wont re-modifying the rules. The removal of the shirt in guruvayoor temple was there from 1600's (the temple is that old). And even at that time males used to remove the Shirt to show the gesture to the god. And stull the Guruvayoor temple follows that. ✨🕉️🤗

As a matter of fact, The rules you guys follow in North India is really different to that of south india!
We have Homams (again that is not so called "Pooja") Homams are so different, We does Pooja too that's separate, there is sometimes like, Nivedhyam, Uchayoonu, Pandheeradi Pooja, (it depends on Time and date), Nirmalya Dharshanam, Varkacharthu, Deeparadhana and a lot more!
Each they they check with Hindu Calendars and Kerala Calendars and according to specific time they does poojas, Homams and karmas!
Just people you don't know the culture out here! It doesn't mean you are not an hindu!
That's why I am saying, each and every temple in Kerala, have it's on Ideehyam!
Chotanikara Devi temple also have different ideeham, Ayappa Temple (Shabharimala) is completely different it has different story to it! And the idol inside the temple.
Just try to come to Guruvayoor temple this month and see the rush there! You won't even have the patience to stand in the queue, you need to come in this month itself!
If you can't then don't debate, if you exprience standing in a line for hours then you can understand how powerful the deity inside and why they does Pooja in each time period!

Kn kerala men.cannot enter ancient temples with shirts n trousers. It is mandatory to wear mundu and a shawlor else remove shirt. Women.only saree. It is customRy otherwise no.entry
women can wear churidar/ kurti with normal pants or leggins.

@@Alchemy12I'm from Thrissur , visited Guruvayoor few months ago. The rule you said was removed few years ago. Now jeans isn't allowed. Women can wear sari , kurti, long skirt.
Only other temple with similar stringent laws is Padmanabha swamy temple. Women also has to wear sari , skirt last time I visited. Maybe rules might have relaxed to include kurti
