idk what hunter killers are, but it seems u only get 10 mins to explore before u gotta extract. need to change it to at least 20-25 minutes, kinda ridiculous you spawn with a whole army in front of you and by the time its cleared, u gotta extract lol
@ShaddyzZz I gotcha, it's not like you can explore first and then snag it up on your way back, the game won't let you move 2 feet lmao. So it does need to be tweaked. It's not fulfilling to start, grab an item that spawned near you and then extract. There's no pleasure or enjoyment I guess, just fear lol. I mean there's fear everytime you'd play, but at least it's mixed with everything else, this just scav express to the exit 🤣
Seems like the stealth is kinda similar to metal gear...obviously not the same...I just wish they gave you the ability to throw a rock or empty magazine to cause a sort of distraction to give you a window of opportunity to sneak or lead opposing groups into eachother
They said it was on the roadmap, especially for when the AI is in a better place. Right now the AI is a little screwy at times with stuff like pathfinding. But they have said that they have plans for adding ways to mislead or misdirect enemies (stuff like throwing a rattle can to attract some soldiers to go towards a bunch of zombie cyborgs) or just having them turn away so you can slip from cover to cover. Honestly I'm very glad they aren't asking for some insane price-point for the game and things seem like they are in it for the long haul. This game attempts to combine three styles of play: Survival Horror, Looter Shooter, and Extraction Shooter. It's success is yet to be determined. I don't believe that the Survival Horror fans will be very pleased with it because of being shot to death repeatedly. For the Shooter fans...well, there is simply not enough shooting. 5:42 "Beware. They will not stop coming" is such a casually brutal line. You are facing an unlimitedly powerful force that you have absolutely no hope of defeating. This game's whole aesthetic is a solid 10/10. I hope the mechanics keep improving and the devs get closer to striking the balance between realizing their creative vision and making a game that plays really well.
why in every vid iv seen the 'hunter killers' come after you? is that supposed to happen? is it timed? is it triggered when you pick up certain items? coz those 'hunter killers' are a death sentence.
Hopefully they’ll add missions that actually involve combat. Maybe convoy ambushes or high value bounty targets. There needs to be more to do besides loot. Looks great visually though.
They have assassination missions for HVTs. Low level gameplay is going to focus on scavenging and survival the most, though, due to lack of quality gear and training.
As you get access to more gear and water, you get more missions and types seems to be the whole deal. Starter characters just won't stack up for combat missions in skills or equipment.
That would be cool. Im thinking maybe sometimes, your base gets infiltrated, and you get to have cool firefights defending off a horde or soldiers or hunter killers.
Its such a hard thing to try nail I imagine. The tough thing is that it will most likely get better with feedback and in a year from now, have changed but then you get that effect that the first adopters then dont like what the game becomes.
Well done! You made an interesting complex pve, but the game should also have an opposing team pvp, the feeling of people's presence makes the game more interesting and alive
I thought I heard that at least, other players actions might effect your game, like if they attack a faction, means when you play, that faction might increase its presence in your game. Not exactly what you were on about I know, but I know what you mean.

The aesthetics of the environments are next level stuff! I've had dreams like this game where I've been trying not to get crushed by the moving parts of a giant machine I'm lost inside of.
The shotgun combat looks the cleanest so far. Good stuff!
the Terminator. am loving this. I want this
this game, space marine 2 and songs of silence are the first games i will buy when i get a pc holy hell
hope they add a dynamic in wich you can crawl through small places for reach different zones or escaping enemy but forcing you to leave behind the backpack, to make a strategic dilemma of escaping but only with your gun if you have no choice
F*cking love this idea
Why would you escape with only your gun tho? It would probably be easier to just die? Unless it's a super op gun I don't see the point especially since most gameplay is trying not to use the gun anyway
That would be utterly pointless...
@@theblackishboy1105 "...it would probably be easier to just die." These...are not the words of a survivalist lol
@@vamperic i think this really highlights that most people are looking at this game as an image of what the devs said it would be not an actual game, something tells me half the people saying its the best game ever are gonna play it and realize it has a bunch of issues like most people are saying and drop the game pretty quickly.
I don't want that at all but many people are defending everything and ignoring criticism of any kind much like they did with helldivers on release and then the game went downhill slowly because most people were saying the game was fine when a lot of bad changes, and problems were not being fixed. I hope the devs can see well enough not to focus on these people who have rose tinted glasses for everything and also listen to people who are pointing out all the problems otherwise this games in trouble
Next weekend will be trying it out.
But one extremly annoying thing.. The walking sound, you sound like a 10 tonn mech.. Hope it can be dieled back. Your walking sound is louder then gunfire xD
This seems to be like a horror game trope they make your walking super loud to make you more anxious about alerting enemies nearby you when they can’t hear you at all
@@TheDubDisciple Instead this is super annoying.
But I also find ticking clocks annoying, maybe its Just me, but I cant play and hear this sound for hours.
Then turn the volume off
@@Grimfanden you feel the same way about alarm clocks and other repetitive beeping sounds? I myself am not a fan of those
Why does your graphics look so much better than other videos I have seen? Whats your settings?
So far it looks good so there is a decent chance it will score atleast a 75 on steam. The water system is the most controversial right now so that the devs may play around with that system a lot to make it work
This game doesnt give you a gun for kill, its for self-defense
Reminds me of Lost Planet. I guess im buyin

@@hurstcifer7286 ah I suppose that means don’t expect a nice patch for the 24th if they were already keeping it up to date
quest 2 footage looks amazing. all the footage i've seen has been so orange
Thanks for the video, got some more info on mechanics i hadn't seen before. But damn dude, watching you play gave me anxiety xD
DONT RUN INTO THE CYBORGSSS
Im excited. I hope they make the animations a bit more fluid, but we'll see
lack of shoulder cam switching is going to be a pain in the ass.
it's top of priorities on the roadmap, it hs been requested a lot and the devs seem to be working on it
Will probably be added during EA. This was one of my many gripes with this when testing it earlier this month.
idk what hunter killers are, but it seems u only get 10 mins to explore before u gotta extract. need to change it to at least 20-25 minutes, kinda ridiculous you spawn with a whole army in front of you and by the time its cleared, u gotta extract lol
You fill up your inventory to the max, or loot some high value item, hunter killers get deployed. Dont need to loot everything you come across.
Absolutely loving this sound design.
Seems like the stealth is kinda similar to metal gear...obviously not the same...I just wish they gave you the ability to throw a rock or empty magazine to cause a sort of distraction to give you a window of opportunity to sneak or lead opposing groups into eachother
That might come later. We will have to test it out and provide feedback.
I've been part of betas before and do love watching games build up over the years and helping give feedback and finding bugs. And I cannot wait to see this game as it transforms over the next couple years.
Would love the ability to hack a turret or broken mech that will cause a distraction so you can get out of that area.
good vid. no nonsense. a great example for ppl to look at and see if they may be interested in the game as it is right now. keep up the good work. ur doing great
it is clear that the game is still raw, but I hope that everything will be fine and the game will be released in a full release!
The games got foundation and basic economy hopefully the devs implement a lot more into the game before the demo release
would love to see the the future of the ai in this game, its way too early to expect much but it would be cool to see wandering humans like the thirsty travelers from mad max
Fortnight, Overwatch, and even Destiny 2, have many fans because of the satisfying shooter mechanics - there is a lot of shooting in those games. Not so much here.
I hope this game succeeds because it's very different, and a brave attempt, but I have my doubts.
I love the blend of concepts here. It’s not the next big thing this is some thing that will resonate deeply with a very specific set of people.
I am a DayZ player. This blend is interesting for me.
@@TheDubDisciple I'm a big fan of Pacific Drive and Battlefield, and I'm here for the looting and the far off conflict I'm trying to avoid.
its a niche game but so was dayZ before the hordes of brainlet streamers ruined it
Cry a river dude, why the hell are you here then?
This is genuinely much better than the last look I got at this game.
Agreed. I hated the original first-look, but each time they released a new visuals/game play demo, it looked 10x better.
@@KerryBuchanan Still pretty boring looking though.. and ugly
Nothing like the cinematic trailers. I the game look like those id actually be excited but its not even remotely close.
Is this like Tarkov? The inventory and keeping between levels looks like that. Is it an extraction shooter?
Can I get clarification on whether this is the Early Access Build coming on Sept, 24th, or is this the closed beta or some other build prior to the EA build on Sept, 24th?
This is definitely the Dev build, I really doubt that they would release such an interesting concept so early when it looks like this.
@@jonfreeman9326 Keep in mind that the only reason they're releasing the Early Access build so early is because of community demand for it. It's not even 'early access', really, just an open beta.
this is closed alpha footage, so it SHOULD be different the early access
@@bornnemissisnot really. The dev build that people are playing is a beta, they called it beta in the mail they sent out the codes with at least. I can copy paste the mail i got tomorrow if you’d like.
@@ShaddyzZz nah its cool haha, atleast they are labeling it as early access because from almost all the videos I have seen it definitely has some ways to go and needs a lot of polish
I hope you get some sort of digital rangefinders/binocs standard.. or a spotting scope.
I think one bad thing I noticed is the fact that getting into one gunfight immediately invited like 7 more gunfights. A mission shouldn’t be immediately fubar once one battle starts.
The Fight isn the focus of the game but a part of it, if you know you cant win The encounter its Better to Flee and Hide, Go in Get Water get Out Its Sound Easy in Paper
When will we actually be able to give this a go please ?
@carlotai4635 at least in the next 3 months. It says 2024, only got 3 more months till it's 2025.
Less than 2 days for the Early Access version on Steam.
Winter starts 24th September 2024.
Think I also heard that they will drop a demo sometime in October. But 24th September is the early access for those that want to play it and support the devs by helping them with feedback.
I love that you can tell the soldiers sometimes see you but don't percieve you as a threat and have bigger fish to fry. Can't wait for this game to get further into development. Early access is going to be emphasis on early, but the game shows mad promise. I'll try and hold out until they add more stealth mechanics and polish up the AI.
that last one was unfortunate, all that water lol.
Can't wait for Tuesday
why are the helicopters so silent
This game needs something like death stranding balance system so people can trip over nothing and alert the enemies.
visual wise this game is stunning! . gameplay wise rough.. but i love the concept they taken with this. and again the fine detail to the enviroment is simply stunning!!
Nice music in second part
what genre is the soundtrack? that 90´s ambient noise with 80´s synth is heavenly...
Question, how do you unlock characters in this game? I really wanna play as that Gunhead guy
Hardware used for this video?
5:42 "Beware. They will not stop coming" is such a casually brutal line. You are facing an unlimitedly powerful force that you have absolutely no hope of defeating. This game's whole aesthetic is a solid 10/10. I hope the mechanics keep improving and the devs get closer to striking the balance between realizing their creative vision and making a game that plays really well.
why in every vid iv seen the 'hunter killers' come after you? is that supposed to happen? is it timed? is it triggered when you pick up certain items? coz those 'hunter killers' are a death sentence.
From what I've seen it seems to happen when you pick up items, maybe when you take them from a factions base?
I wonder if binoculars will be added. Those would come in handy.
This game looks amazing and i really hope it succeeds!
They allready in. Kill x/y solider etc. With later weapons U can Fight the Helicopter and mechs
That would be cool. Im thinking maybe sometimes, your base gets infiltrated, and you get to have cool firefights defending off a horde or soldiers or hunter killers.
@@workingZen Like the scene from Terminator? LOL
The Future War scenes do look like they inspired aspects of the game world.
I'm just not convinced that the execution is there. I think going into early access in this rough state is a misstep.
Its such a hard thing to try nail I imagine. The tough thing is that it will most likely get better with feedback and in a year from now, have changed but then you get that effect that the first adopters then dont like what the game becomes.
Cant wait to speed run this
stealth when they sound like 40 tonne mechs!
Game looks interesting but the animations and AI pathing is super rough, but that shouldn’t be hard to fix. Looks promising over all
This game looks so good
I hope they add killer robot dogs. I want moar fear.
I kind of hope not. I feel like killer dogs (real, zombie, robot, whatever) is such an overused trope in some games

How would you stand up again with the cage?
@@requiemlul3140
Test it yourself...
1. Add >50 lbs (>23 kg) to a backpack
2. Put it on
3. Lie down flat on your stomach
4. Stand up using only your body (not grabbing onto anything)
The biggest early improvement i am hoping for is just better-looking animations. I can handle any other issues but with how helicopters move around and ai stands and fights and even the player characters run can and will throw me out of the experience

Wonder what mods for this game would look like. If any would allow us to hijack and take control of those walking behemoths, turn the tables for a bit or anything of that sort. They have a lot of really well done models with a lot of fire power. I know this is against what the game is going for but of course, such is the fantasy of modding

I know this game is a W.I.P and in early access, but it's so weird and funny to see a character not gasp or exclaim when they get shot at, instead calmly saying "Keep your heads down."
